I have the same here, although it works on the pc-12 but freezes on the C-172

I found a fix, if I turned off Frame Generation in the settings it no longer freezes when popping out the EFB window.

Is this using Nvidia?

Yes, I have Nvidia.

This is a problem that should be solved. A lot of people use frame generation now (Nvidia or AMD version as they both are quite good) given how heavy the sim is on GPU/cpu. I recognize that instrument pop out isn’t as common for most users but it’s disappointing that you cannot use both pop out panels and frame generation at the same time and have to pick one or the other.

Same exact issue here in 2024 for me. 2020 runs beautifully. 2024 is unplayable until this is resolved.

Will try and re-install 2024 again. Third time in two days.

I have the same error. Any Popout window I want to open, MSFS 2024 crashes to the desktop.
I reinstalled it, it worked perfectly fine. With any plane, at any airport. I tried different drivers, but it just crashes to the desktop. For a while it worked with the NVIDIA 580.88 driver, then suddenly it didn’t work anymore. If I turn off Nvidia Frame Generation, it works perfectly. If I turn on AMD Frame Generation, it works perfectly too. I don’t understand this, but it’s very annoying.
