ISSUE DESCRIPTION

The simulator freezes while loading when the progress bar reaches 70-100%.
If I disconnect my PC from the network, the simulator loads. Then I can connect to the network, and the multiplayer and marketplace appear.

I tried to wait for 30 minutes, nothing happened.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Every time, since yesterday morning (Jan 10)

Please reset hosts file - it might be causing loading issues.

How to reset the Hosts file back to the default - Microsoft Suppor

Thanks, but that’s not the problem, the file only contains the standard loopbacks.

Logging to a file would be a huge help, but I don’t think there is one…

Rename your Community folder to something like Community_backup, then create a new empty folder named Community and launch MSFS.

Hmm, that’s really weird…

I tried that yesterday, and it only worked the first time; the next time, it wasn’t.

But now it works. Thanks, I’ll move the folders one by one to the new community and find the offending scenery/mod.

I’ll write the results. Thanks.

You’re welcome

EDIT

Move about 50% of your aircraft liveries into the new Community folder and launch MSFS a few times to see if the issue shows up. If everything is fine, move the remaining 50% of the liveries and test again. I’d start with liveries specifically, as they’re often the culprit.

I think the problem is network related. It won’t start again, even with an empty Community directory.

I think I found the problem. I had the DLSS Override - Model Presets (Latest) option enabled.

But I don’t understand how this could affect loading when a network connection is enabled…

Launch MSFS, go to Settings > General > Graphics, change DX11 to DX12, apply and save, and exit MSFS. Then enable DLSS Override, select the Latest profile, apply the changes and launch MSFS.

Yeah, that’s how it was set up, but after the latest Nvidia driver update, everything broke…

Thanks for trying to figure out the problem.
I’ll check the next update to see if they fix it.
