Thermal (Hotspot) Genrator online

Hello to all gliding enthusiasts,
Anyone who has ever seriously tried to fly a glider in FS2020 will have noticed that they cannot get past Alex Marko’s Kinetic Assitant. However, if you want to go cross-country, you need a large number of hotspots. Setting them all by hand is a lot of work. We have put an online generator for hotspots on the web that anyone can use for free. The output is a CSV file that you can load into the Kinetic Assistant after download.
Please have a look: Hotspot-Generator
Download and have fun
Best Regards Ralf

Ahh, that is excellent Ralf, works well

Thank you very much for the feedback. :+1: I am happy if the tool is not only used by myself. If you have any problems, just let me know here in the forum.

The new Version 2.0 is out and has been widely expanded.
Please have a look: Thermal-Generator
Have fun. :cowboy_hat_face:

There is a new Version of “Thermal Generator” to load CSV-Files into the Kinetic-Assistant.
You now have UNDO function and can save and reload boundaries.

For more details read the manual.

The generator is available online for free, but if you have problems with your browser, we have created a version that runs on a Electron framework.
Thermal Generator runs under Open Source.
more Information on Github:

It will soon be available on flightsim.to.

Hello gliding fans, we have created a new version:
We had previously displayed the hotspots on the map in the correct diameter. However, the Kinetic Assistant uses a different visualisation. As a result, the distance of the hotspots in the Generaator looked larger than those in KA. We have corrected this and adapted to the representation in KA. Therefore, the appearance of the density should now match.
Happy gliding
All the best.

PS the new Version is 2.2.2 Please Reload the Page if necessary

Hello guys,
the new version 2.4 is now online. It is now possible to load saved hotspots (thermals) (CSV files) back into the generator. In addition, manually created points are displayed in a different colour and are taken into account in the automatic generation.
You can find more detailed information in the manual.
You find the links to the webside further up in the comments.
Happy Gliding.
Regards Ralf

Hallo folks,
the website on which the “Thermal-Generator” has been available so far will no longer be active from the beginning of December. It will be available on a different site from now on:

https://www.matmax.de/generator/^

Otherwise everything will remain as before.

Happy Gliding
