I don’t know if this issue is already known, but when thermaling in a glider, the lift is weirdly correlated to the direction of the turn:
If you turn in one direction, you get +5 m/s, and if you turn in the other direction you get -5 m/s . When completing a full circule, half the turn is getting an updraft, the other half is getting a downdraft.
This makes flying gliders very frustrating.
For context, it was a flight in New Zealand with live weather. I believe this issue was already occurring in msfs2020.
Half circle with lift, half circle descending:
I‘d say this is expected behavior when you are not centered in the thermal (happened often to me when I learnt to fly gliders as a boy…)
I would agree if it only was a bad centering of the thermal.
But as you can see in the linked video, for 1/2 of the circle you have a lift when turning left and a sink when turning right, and vice versa for the other half of the circle. This is absolutely not the expected behavior of a glider in a thermal (speaking from experience, I do have 700+ hr of glider flight time IRL).

100% still the same bug from FS2020 where I raised this initial bug in the program for the Aosobo supplied gliders. Sad to see no change was made to what is a fundamental issue in how gliders fly and make it impossible to glide using the in game gliders.
