Honestly, this ia a personal preference. If you want to purchase another device, buy what you best think will complement the type of flying you plan on doing most.
As BoboSkypark says above though it’s personal preference.
All I would say, though, is do your homework before you buy and if it is comfortably within your range maybe buy once rather than end up with something you don’t like and then buy again.
I’m ok with controllers, i would love to know if there are mods or other things like for example the device that let you move the head to move your sight in the cockpit
Coordinating turns while flying, and braking as well.
Rudder pedals have toe brakes, which adds a great deal as it allows you to apply the correct braking force, and have differential braking as well (which is very handy!).
All aircraft have foot pedals for yaw correction. Twisting a grip for anti yaw just doesn’t work for me. Plus sitting in the cockpit (old office chair) and having a place to put your feet adds another dimension to the experience.
Now you have some research to do.
There are several brands and price ranges.
U-tube has many reviews ( opinions) on just about everything available.
Happy hunting and happy flying.
I never owned an apple product so I cant say. But since both SpaceDesk and POPM are free, I would suggest to just try it. I am pretty sure that it will work though.
The Octavi… out of the box, with the Octavi software, I THINK it only works with the G1000. However, if you use it with SPAD, it becomes just another input device so you could program it for pretty much everything - that would however necessitate buying SPAD and spending a bit of time learning it… wich, come to think of it, you may have to do anyway since I dont think that the Octavi works with 2024 yet.
I use Spacedesk and POPM on two old iPads. There is a minimum OS version you need, but it’s a pretty old one.
Definitely rudder first.
Tobii Eye Tracker 5 is definitely worth it. The new sim UI controls for it are a huge regression from the FS2020 version, but you can still get it to work great with an XML file edit. Search the forums for ‘Tobii XML’ for the method if you decide to go for it. Just know that you will need to re-edit the XML whenever there is a new sim patch applied. So keep a copy for reference.
Also, in my system the tobii.xml file is in two different places, and I needed to edit both files.
I recommend a program called ‘Agent Ransack.’ It’s a really good file search tool - much better than Windows Search.
