This Xbox Live Account is already used with another Steam account on Microsoft Flight Simulator

Just got this error out of the blue today. I only have one Steam account that I have been using with the game for over two years now and all of a sudden I can’t access any online services.

Submitted a Zendesk ticket, but since I only have one Steam ID64 I just entered the same number for both the old and new Steam ID64.

So I guess I’m without services until someone can take a look next week?

If your using your steam account on different systems, make sure your logged off everything, except the one your using.
&
If i remember steam corectly, it allows multiple user names for one account. Make sure your using the same user name that you were using when setting up msfs.
I remember issues with other games on steam years ago, with this one.

I was indeed using Steam on two computers. I logged out on my non-MSFS one and services have been restored! Thank you so much.

I got this same message today. I only have one account that I only use on the one computer. I’ve also submitted a ticket but left the second box blank. I’ve checked all the suggested fixes but still have no access to the market place or the server. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Is Data turned on in Options?

Hi, got the same error today. Almost gave me a small heart attack … I’m just using Steam on one computer and never logged in anywhere else but I just published a Youtube video about Flight Simulator yesterday, so immediately I thought my account might have been hacked. But I logged out of the XL account, logged back in and restarted the sim. Then it let me proceed again. But I did have to turn on the online access in the Data Options menu.

All in all, probably just a glitch in the sign-in process (I hope!).

Happening to me too. Logged out of everything, logged back in and restarted. No joy.

EDIT: I spoke too soon - I forgot to turn on data manually. Thanks all

Mine turned out to be the time on my PC was slightly out even though I had it set to auto adjust. After resetting the time and restarting my PC, I was back to normal again. Weird.

i found this post and wanted to put this here: i had this happen to me today and i found how to fix it:

  1. link your steam account to your xbox account by opening the game bar by pressing windows +g key or searching in start menu “game bar”
  2. click on the settings icon in the top menu
  3. click on accounts.
  4. link your steam account
  5. restart your computer

that fixed it for me
