There is something very wrong with my throttle control. Saitek X52 Controller, single throttle lever. On runway about to take off and increase speed, the aircraft goes so far then the throttle just dies. I have had this problem before, but this problem keeps coming back? All other controls work fine. The throttle axis works fine in Win11 Game Controllers box. The problem seems to come back after a FS Update. I have forgotten how to set Axis, Axis1 or 2 in FS. For multi engine aircraft, so one throttle lever works all engines. Thanks for any help. I do not have a very good memory, and sometimes forget things on this forum. The moderator is annoyed by me repeating posts. I may be banned from the forums!?
iām 82 years young and, like you, have a difficult time remembering details about a lot of things including flight simulator. I 've lost vision in the left eye and have cataract in the right but I enjoy MSFS because it keeps me thinking and learing. Right now Iām working to progam my old GoFlight modules to work with the FBW A320. I also keep some documents abailable for easiy reference either on the computer, printed out or with quick access to the applicable web sites. Keep plugging along and enhoying what you do.
As far as your specific problelm, make sure you donāt have a controlller conflict of some sort. BTW, I donāt think youāll be banned for repeating posts.
The first thing to try is to ensure your X52 is calibrated correctly for MSFS.
MSFS can be quite fussy with Saitek controllers, I know as I use them exclusively.
Download this to calibrate your controller.
Iāll send you a DM on how to do that.
It might be best to establish what is going on here when you say āthe throttle diesā.
Do you experience a loss of engine power, then engine(s) shut down i.e. in prop plane the prop stops spinning?
Do you see the virtual cockpit rendition of the throttle out of sync with your physical prop i.e. it was pulled aft even though your physical lever was advanced forward?
I believe this binding was removed with an update some time ago. To control several engines with one controller you need to bind throttle 1, throttle 2 etc. to the same axis.
I have downloaded DIView and all the Axis controls are OK. DIView does not check the buttons? The lower trigger (pinky) switch 6 does not work in FS? When the Saitek X52 is set to FS default, the āpinkyā 6 should operate the brakes, but I have to assign another button, which is 27 (1st lower button on the throttle stick) Can anyone explain why the pinky switch 6 does not work in FS? It works in Win Game Controller Properties. May have to refer this to the ābugsā section of the forum.
