Brief description of the issue:
When I go to fly, the throttle (in this case on the Cubcrafters X Cub) is stuck at 50%. The joystick throttle controller makes it the throttle jerk a bit, but it goes back to its original stuck position. The same occurs with keyboard controls or moving the throttle control in the cockpit with the mouse. Autopilot is not turned on. This started happening after the latest update. I have tried the “repair” option from the App control panel, but it didn’t help. The problem occurs even when the joystick is disconnected.

In general options, accessibility, do you have legacy or lock enabled?
For normal operation, it should be in Legacy.

I would check for duplicate bindings to throttle axis.

rebind to “Throttle 1” or “Default.”

I checked all the control bindings to the throttle and the only ones there are the f1/f2/f3 for the keyboard and the slider on the joystick. I’ll check again.

Thanks for the suggestion, it was set on lock, I switched to Legacy, but that didn’t fix the problem. It is stuck at 50% at while the various controllers can move it for a moment, it snaps back to the middle position.

I searched for “throttle” on all controllers and the only things mapped are the keyboard and the joystick.

Do you have any piloting assists turned on?
Turn them off if you do, the AI copilot could be fighting you.

Any addons in your community folder?
A conflict with an addon could cause this as well.

Have you calibrated your throttle in Windows?

I don’t have any piloting assists turned on.
I don’t have any addons in my community folder.

I’m not sure how to calibrate the joystick in Windows, but in the assignment window in FS, when I move the throttle on the joystick, the bar goes from full to empty and back again. Also, the problem occurs even if the joystick is disconnected.

And thanks for the suggestions!

If it works in the sensitivity window in the sim, it isn’t a calibration issue.
What happens if you try it with your keyboard unplugged?

With the last update sometimes if my ATC window is opened the throttle gets stuck, then works if I close ATC window.

I just tried it with the keyboard disconnected, and I still have the issue.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Also, the ATC window is not open.

What command do you have the throttle bound to?

It is bound to “Throttle Axis” which I believe is the default.

And I just installed updates today and I still have the problem.

That may be the issue.
Use throttle 1, not just throttle

I’ll try it, but the problem exists even with the joystick unplugged. I believe that there is some other error that is pushing a rouge throttle command. It is behaving like the autopilot is in charge and I am trying to override it, but the autopilot is off.

I’m receiving relatively the same issue. The main difference is that my Throttle remains at Idle at any moment I’m on the ground. If I press F3 the Throttle goes up an inch and stops. If I click the Throttle and Increase the power, my RPM’s remain at the Idle state. Once I move the Throttle on my Hotas, it resets to Idle.

Make sure AI Co-Pilot is off. Turn off all Assists in the Assistance Menu.

To add on to the issue, if I do an airstart, I have control of the throttle. But once I land and on the ground, I lose all throttle control.

I’ve isolated the issue.
It seems that when no peripherals are plugged in, the aircraft works just fine.
But once I plug in my Thrustmaster Hotas, it seems that the aircraft becomes unresponsive for only the throttle aspect.

Any ideas on a solution?
