Having researched everywhere possible and looked at umpteen videos my problem is not of configuration of throttles. It is also peculiar that it happens in no other aircraft but ATR series 42/72-600.Once I have bound the throttles and move them backward and forwards the smaller or 2nd.throttle does not move in tandem or together or symetrically as a result I can’t then configure those in the EFB for Idle/ notch and ramp.It is both frustrating and perplexing why this is happening and why only the issue crops up with ATRs.
I am very keen to fly this default aircraft and request if expert simmers or any member of Asobo team can help out.HELP & ASSIT!!!
I am on Xbox series X and use Turtle Beach VelocityOne FMS.
To check: you’re using “Throttle Axis” and not “Throttle 1 Axis”, right?
Are you using the exact same control scheme with other twin-engines? Like the King Air 350i?
Can you check if anything else is bound?
I don’t have the ATR, but I imagine there’s at least two ways you could do it:
- map the left slider to speedbrake, second slider to both-throttles, third slider to both-props, last slider to flaps
- map speedbrake to something else, map left two throttles to throttle, other two throttles to prop feather, and map flaps to something else.
In general I use #1 (I do envy the Bravo’s six levers). I have the black TPM pullout (that’s L-Axis X) mapped only to “Throttle 1”.
Done it all.Issue is primarily with the throttles.Whether I map those on a single lever e.g JoystickL-Axis 1 or on separate levers namely the first two as Joystick L-Axis 1 and Joystick L- Axiis 5 the throttle when moved forward or backwards do not move in sync or tandem. The second throttle moves sluggishly again when moving forwards or backwards.Consequently I cannot carry out the throttle calibration in the aircraft’s EFB.
Only in the early days I had no such issue and was able to map everything the throttles, propelllers reverse thrust and feathering assigned to buttons.
I have come across one gentleman complaining of similar issue, it appears the “disease” is not widespread hence not being given any attention .
Hope I have been able to express my predicament clearly.
Thanks for your input anyways.
Today I tried ThrustMaster Hotas One with ATR just to see if what happens when I move throttle.Inside the cockpit the two throttles move with smaller one lagging behind in backward and forward movement totally out of sync. This clearly is a bug along with screens going dark and other issues.
It’s such fun flying the Transall C-160 by Azurpoly and lately Captain Sim’s Hercules C-130.Everything on offer works atleast.
