Hello everyone. Fairly new to MSFS 2020 even though I’ve had it for years. Trying to be more active, going through flight training and such.
Working on learning the Garmin systems and noticed that when I go to World Map, select a plane (in this case a 172) and a departure airport, when I try to go to full throttle, it will go for a few seconds and then throttle back. I can move the throttle back and forth or hit f4 for full throttle, but it won’t stay there. If I switch to auto pilot, it’ll go to full and take off, and when I retake control, it will stay full throttle. But then I can’t throttle back for a few mins and then after that the throttle appears to work normally. I’ve tried several different planes and airports. Unless it’s something that takes off quick, they all throttle back on roll so I never get to v1.
I didn’t see any of this during flight training, even when during solos. I have a flight yoke system and a t-rudder. I’ve checked to make sure nothing else is mapped to the throttle. I have nothing in my community folder (I’m too newbie), and I’ve unplugged and replugged everything. I’m up to date on all updates.
Any suggestions?
Update: figured out that takeoff assist was skewing the throttle, no idea why. Seems like a bug to me. All other assists are turned on, but when I turn off takeoff assist, it flies correctly. Would appreciate it if someone else could try and see their results.
TIA
