Throttle problem in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020

Hi, I have tried to increase the throttle fully in some Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 aircraft and it has automatically decreased, and it won’t let me put it back to the full position. Do you know how to fix this problem?

Hi,

This sounds like you might have a double assignment to the throttle function.

Check if there is anther throttle related assignment on your joustick or your keyboard which could drive the throttles in your planes back to idle.

How do I fix that specifically?

Hi @DraftyFilly330 ,

Hi,

In MSFS 2020 go to OPTIONS then CONTROL OPTIONS and in SEARCH on the left side type throttle in the SEARCH BY NAME box and see what comes up. Do this for yor joystick, keyboard and throttles if you have a separate throttle quadrant.
If you find an entry that would pull your throttles back in your planes, then delete that entry and re-check if this has fixed your issue.

If you are unsure of deleting the wrong assignment, make a screenshot before deleting it. This would allow you to restore that item, if needed.

I will try that a little later.

I found “reverse axis” with the box checked so I unchecked it.

Hi,

I also found that I had to reverse some of my axis on my throttle quadrant.

Hopefully your throttle works correctly now.

Then I’ll try that later. :slightly_smiling_face:

I tried it and it did not work because the program does not let me keep the throttle increased so it automatically goes back to idle and does not let me increase it or lift the aircraft off the ground and it also does the same thing when I try to increase the collective on the Bell 47J-2 helicopter, especially the program not letting me keep the aircraft airborne therefore I think deleting some files off of my PC’s file explorer and uninstalling a program caused the problem so I am afraid I ruined it. :frowning:

Hi,

Sorry that I am not able to helpyou any further. I am on vacation and will not be back on my computer for several weeks.

Would you be able to help me later?

Hi,

I would be happy to help once I get back.

BTW what time zone are you in? I am in Central Europe (GMT +2)

Similar issue. Have programmed the back slash key \ to cut throttles. Works perfect on any Cessna but does not work on Daher TBM 930?

I am in California, United States of America. But I am talking about the problem with the throttle staying full during take-off on the Bell 47J-2 after I start it up manually and the Douglas DC-3 and a certain Beechcraft Model 17 right now.
