You will have to message Thrustmaster - Good Luck with that! But there is no solution currently for that AFAIK.
That’s probably because the TM Flying Clamp is never designed for a quad engine setup. It’s shown in their Product page that it is for a single engine quadrant with Addon.
Perhaps, if you buy another clamp and stick them together, that it would be wide enough for a quad-engine setup, with a bit of extra room to the sides.
This solution is much much cheaper than ordering two clamps from thrustmaster (apart from having to adapt them). On the internet you can find the drawing for this two quadrant configuration.
I’ve put the same on flying Clamp
Now always the big problem… throttle 3-4 not work well with 747… same settings as 1-2 but not in synch.
Really? Did you set 3&4 manually adjusting also the sensitivity? They are working perfectly for me
Looks cool.
I am impressed you were able to get your hands on one of the TCA addons. Been trying to find one to buy for months without success.
Yes set 3&4 and same sensitivity as 1&2
I have searched in all EU countries Amazon and also some Spanish stores. Finally in May arrived some units in Spain.
No, it is better if you set them based on the detents. I do not have the same numbers in both quadrants.
It might be helpful if you do factory recalibration on both quadrants exactly the same way.
Hey guys, I am just asking a general question and would really appreciate your views on this…
I was just about to purchase that tca clamp for the airbus tca and I just couldn’t get myself to spend 80 euros for something that costs less than 15-20 euros to build… its not even about the money I have 80 euros to spend just not for something that’s so cheap to make… anyway I am in engineering so I thought why not build it myself… I designed a pretty rough sketch, then went over to Sharp3D, turned it into 3D CAD, and sent it to a metals processing company near my hometown to get it laser cut… got an offer for 8.75 euros for a 4mm sheet of aluminum. I decided the top part of the clamp, since my desk is oak wood, to make it out of oak wood as well and it looks kind of cool. I don’t have a total build cost so far, just today I got the update that the sheet is cut so I will go pick it up tomorrow, but I am pretty sure it won’t go over 20 euros maybe 25.
No need to say that since it’s custom build, we can totally change the width and make it wide enough for 2 throttle tcas with little to no extra cost. Or change the paint color (i decided to paint it white)…
So my question of the day. For a solid build, not a cheap looking one because I’m not a fan of cheap looking things I like my stuff to be solid, as practical as possible, and as esthetically pleasing as possible. That being said, would you pay the 30-40 bucks (instead of 70-80) for a custom tca clamp if this little project of mine turns out to be as expected? If so would help me perfect it? Point out mistakes/dislikes so I know what to improve upon?
I would love to help out, I have 2 quadrants and was wondering how to mount them without costing a fortune.
