Hi. I have a thrustmaster force feedback joystick. It is auto-detected by Windows 10 and the HOTAS Force Feedback Joystick driver is installed automatically.
Everything appears to work fine (can test all the controls under the game controller properties) and it works in all my games.
However, if I plug the joystick in when flight simulator is running, the system detects the joystick and then crashes to desktop after 1-2 seconds. If I already have the joystick plugged in and then start Flight Simulator, flight simulator crashes the instant that it loads (don’t even get to the intro screen).
Has anyone had this issue and found a fix ?
Cheers
I had a similar issue too but with my headset. My issue was related to the program that controls the headset, was causing conflicts with my sistem. My solution was uninstall the software, which was only to set some profiles and a few more irrelevant things. Try to uninstall the software and check if the issue desapear.
Thanks for the suggestion, but I’ve already tried that multiple times. Even went so far as to manually search the registry and remove any remnants of the prior drivers, but to no avail.
Well, my last suggestion(the one which make me find the issue) and I believe That you already have done this perhaps is, a fresh windows installation, then msfs install too, and the end install your programs and softwares. One by one and trying msfs to see which one is causing your problem. I know that is a huge task but in my opinion is the best way to check what is messing with your pc and simulator. Even small program that we forget can cause huge troubles. Hope you can solve your issue.
