But last Friday the picture appeared on the right of the screen and every key was assigned as shown in various videos. Just as it should work but saturday it was back to not working. What is going on?
My bug report says it is done, what is done? Nothing!
hI. im new to msfs and have a similar problem with my joystick. I assumed that any joystick should work with msfs24 so I decided to use my thrustmaster FarmStick. The obviously does not have a ready setup for this device, but lets me bind all keys, axis etc. But once in game none of that works as if the joystick would be completly unpluged from the pc. Only the keyboard and mouse work. Am I doing something wrong or this device simply will not work with msfs24? would be gratefull for any info , thanks
I have the same issue, the image of the hotas 4 doesnt appear on the right, i can map inputs, but in flight the joystick does nothing. Has anyone worked it out?
The image is only for those pre-done profiles.
So i had seen reports in various forums that some people had the hotas 4 running but I’ve just tried again and there’s no mappings… also the mappings/binding configurator is absolutely shocking! worst gui ever!
crazy that there’s no default mappings at all for this flight stick.
I’ve been able to map good controls for airplanes but I have no idea what does what with helicopter controls. I haven’t found any tutorials that show what to bind from scratch. Pretty frustrating to not be able to fly any helicopters in the sim three weeks after release.
In 2020 you just plug and play and everything worked fine.

Last week one day my Hotas 4 suddenly appeared with all the default settings and a picture on the right of the screen, as it should do. But the next day all had gone, back to no settings at all. I am NOT dreaming, it worked for ONE day only. What is going on?
that’s bizarre. Hopefully the big patch next week addresses this
I have Hotas 4. To work on FS2024 I had to uninstall the firmware. The controls started working again with different button names than in FS2020. I just couldn’t enable the throttle.
My Hotas 4 default settings just arrived, then as I could not get my rudder pedals working I looked closer and found it had set the driver to the 4/6 axis mode. re set to 5/8 mode and the whole thing disappeared. Back to having to do my own settings. What a shambles this is.
There is still no default mapping for the HOTAS 4.
Anything new with the patch from friday…?
I am in a similar position. I have a Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas 4 installed with all firmware updated. The game has picked it up in the controller settings but there are no presets loaded and no image. It’s not letting me configure any settings and I’m not getting any response when I try to use it in the game.
Can somebody please confirm if this controller does work in MSFS2024 and, if so, what do I have to do to get it working?
Yes it works, you need to bind the controls yourself.
it would be nice to have a file controller load input in microsoft flight simulator 2024, so someone is very good at configuring joysticks could create files that could just be loaded into micrsoft flight simulator 2024 to make it easier to use a joystick from 2020 and not have to go threw the whole process of configuring a joystick that has been around forever. Funny the Thrustmaster microsoft flight simulator version is the same hardware strange that it would not recognize it but the thurstmaster game controller app does?
It does recognise it, it’s just not bound to controls by default.
