Anyone have a Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas 4 that works in FS 2024? It’s currently on sale at Amazon Black Friday
My Logitech Attack 3 is no longer supported and I don’t think it will be either…
Nope, still not working, just checked it again. I have set the Hotas.4 on 1 aircraft so that I can steer and take off/land (no more), but this cannot be set/copied so other aircraft also use this setting.
Maybe it’s a way to force us to buy the ‘T. Flight Hotas One Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Edition’?
But I remain hopeful that it will work soon.
I am having also problems with Hotas 4. I installed new drivers but the game does not load presets for Hotas 4 even tho it recognizes it so there is no mapping for keys so it is unusable. Hope they fix it soon.
The Thrustmaster website specifically says that the Hotas 4 is ‘not compatible with cloud gaming or streaming’ . Nobody mentioned that in the run-up to MSFS 2024’s release, but it could be the reason why the controllers don’t work. I’m not going to buy a new controller, so unless the compatibility issue is solved, I’m not going to go back to MSFS 2024. (I couldn’t get in for the first two days and then got a refund.)
Well that sounds like ■■■■■■■■. Of course Hotas 4 should be supported in MSFS 2024. Such a shame they go this route.
My Thrustmaster Airbus control stick only works partially. I loaded the latest hotas firmware and checked everything several times. Both the transfer of the profile from the 2020 version and the manual settings for the control pad POV buttons are under no circumstances possible in 2024. The profile already preset for the T.A320 Pilot Transversal//Planes control stick cannot switch the quick views for Joystick POV Left/Right.
After spending hours and watching a few videos, I question my sanity. Why is this so complex? I just want to fly like with the 2020 version, but so far I’m despairing about 2024.
Thank you guys.
Yeah, there are some major issues with the controls in the game and okay, it makes sense that my old Logitech one is not compatible.
But when anybody tells me a joystick roundabout 50-80 Euros, I can invest this…but at the moment they have to fix the control-dilemma first…
I have a Thrustmaster Hota 4, which provides a limited use of the controls on MSFS 2020, but it was working. On 2024, I had to configure from zero, no default configuration. and I made it work. But it requires a little time to setup.
The cloud is for rendering, weather, and etc… it is not for controls. The controls are all installed in your machine…
It is just ■■■■■■… I just requested a refund from Microsoft because of that… Got a deluxe premium… I will buy X12 on steam
Ah, perfect! Thank you!
I think I will buy this one then and have a little bit to play with the controls
In MSFS 2020, you simply plugged in the Hotas 4 and it worked. Why doesn’t it work in MSFS 2024? Will this be addressed in the near future?
Are there any solutions that aren’t too time-consuming or complicated?
By the way, another Reddit User is using my Logitech Attack 3 and it seems to work with a little bit of configuration.
Actually I will switch back to FS2020 and having there a stable game experience.
How can I get the HOTAS 4 to work with MSFS 2024?
I have the latest firmware installed, and the game is fully updated. When I launch MSFS 2024, the joystick settings indicate that the HOTAS 4 is connected. However, there is no image of the joystick displayed, and I cannot configure any settings.
I’ve contacted Thrustmaster support, but the responses I’ve received have been unhelpful, which feels unprofessional.
Does anyone know what the issue might be?
Will Thrustmaster release a firmware update to make it work more seamlessly?
Being retired for many years, I have plenty of time but still can’t the bloody thing to work. I think I managed the throttle and a couple of buttons but thats all
Me too, bad approach.
You have to press the PlayStation button, if the drivers are installed on your PC the PS button will turn from RED to GREEN when pressed. It is in PC mode once green. You can test it by typing “joystick” into the start menu and opening the game controller config. Everything will need to be set up manually in FS2024, unlike in 2020 where it just worked. Annoying but it does work fine.
The PlayStation Button on my Logitech Attack 3 Joystick for my PC…?
Same problem but Friday the description picture arrived and all the default assignments? Great I thought, the Saturday it had returned to as before. What is going on. Tflight says it is supported and Microsoft is listing it as supported.
Thrust master site says Hotas 4 IS compatible with 2024, you’re not looking in the right place. Also MS site says it is compatible. Friday mine suddenly had the picture and all the assignments, but Saturday it had disappeared. Mystery…
It’s a HID USB device, yes it’s supported, you’ll just need to bind controls yourself.
