Unfortunately, as soon as the Thrustmaster Hotas is plugged in, the sim crashes on Xbox.
I have tried restarting the console, plugging in the Hotas after the sim loads (instead of before launching the sim) … all combinations seem to crash MSFS only when the Hotas is connected to Xbox. This never happened before this beta.
Fortunately, this bug seems to only affect Trustmaster Hotas and not VelocityOne Turtle Beach, nor keyboard/mouse. I have all three.
Just joined the beta and looking forward to playing with out re doing all sensitivities but this. Getting beyond a joke now and needs a hotfix as i am sure alot of players use this device.
This is a Beta, you will more likely encounter issues than staying on the release version.
The objective of a Beta is to find problems before it releases for everyone. There will be more versions of the Beta until a lot of people are satisfied.
I think that the core of code was broken from beginning. Every SU brings to us more and more bugs. Asobo right know doesn’t know how to fix that. They applied new features but the game is totally broken.
Yes this is a Beta, but not so much that a controller causes major issues before the game loads. Pre testing to see if said controller would save settings, means game running with Hotas.
Fantastic, just what I was hoping for. Not being able to jump in a flight tonight. I know its a beta but come on, was it not alpha tested before being released? I’ve been here since day one and each supposed update only seems to update the issues we all have to face.
Xbox X - I get the same behavior, CTD with thrusmaster hotas plugged in. Unfortunately I can’t test the beta without using this, I won’t sim using the controller.
This is a pre-release test build. There will be unknown issues. The dev team thanks you for bringing these to our attention. Finding issues like this and submitting your feedback is the whole point of the beta. For anyone who is not comfortable with potentially experiencing undocumented problems with this test build, we encourage you to stay on the regular release version and not opt into the beta. This is not an “early access” release for those who want to start using the SU8 build before it’s ready.
This Hotas issues has really done it for me, waiting all this time for sensitivity fix.
This has really put me off the competence of the devs, they break too much and not fix enough. Refunds should be offered without question considering I have spent alot of money on this game.
While I get the idea behind a beta and agree that dealing with bugs is part of the deal, however, when the main controls for using the sim don’t work (thrustmaster hotas) it makes it difficult to test, using the Xbox controller is not an option, sorry.
