Yes, but it doesnt need it.
Go to thrustmaster support site and download the firmware manager to your pc or laptop.
If you have a new hotas it should have the upto date firmware for your xbox.

I think I got a dud when I got mine. Has terrible input spikes from the stick twist and that halfway detent area, which I filed down to get rid of it, has a deadspot in that area. It’s nearly like they put that halfway cam in to cover it up.

You dont need to update it.
I have had 3 Hotas one’s and have never needed to update any firmware to work in fs20 or 24
I had exactly the same issue with the last hotas i bought, spiking on the rudder axis both on twist and with rudder peddles.
I found it was caused by poorly soldered connection.
The build quality of these is terrible but unfortunately that seems to be normal in that price bracket.
I wholly recommend turtle beach instead as there arent the same problems and it can be updated directly via an app on your console
