Can anyone help with my problem?I have a Thrustmaster Hotas One on PC and the rudder is`nt working properly (no R or L when taxiing or sometimes all over the place)is it possible to dedicate the 13 and 14 Buttons (Next / Previous) for the rudder applications or any buttons to get the required affect

Does the rudder work when flying (vice taxiing)? Can you see the rudder itself move from the external view? If so, then it’s probably a control mapping or some option.
If it really is a hardware issue, then I think it’s possible to map buttons to the rudder, but the rudder is meant to be a variable control, not simply “off/left/right”, so it would be very hard to taxi.
Two workarounds: 1) Set “Auto-Rudder” to ON in the Assistance menu, which would allow you to taxi-steer with your stick (left/right instead of twist). 2) Invest in some rudder pedals.
The lever thing (axis) on the front left of the throttle is basically designed to be an alternate rudder input, I’d rebind the yaw axis to it if the joystick twist isn’t working.
Beyond that you could:
- Check how your ingame controller sensitivities to see how the game receives the twist axis input.
- Check the same from USB game controllers in Windows settings. Try recalibrating from there if the input seems faulty.
- File a warranty claim on Thrustmaster or retailer.
- Open the stick to clean (or even replace I guess) the potentiometer. (Advanced)
Hi Steve Thanks for prompt reply,I switched the “Auto-Rudder” to off just to see what would happen and BOOM ! and I now can steer the plane on the ground, Many thanks for your Info

Interesting…turning it to “OFF” solved it (vice “ON”)? Anyways, glad I pointed you in the general direction.
