Thrustmaster TCA Captains pack throttles NOT working in MSFS2024

FINALLY able to access sim.

Got in and went through initial setup.

Went to configure controls, and I cannot configure my TCA Captains pack throttles.

When i move them to do a search by input, it is not showing an axis, rather button 11 for left and button 15 for right throttle inputs.

I then go into hardware settings and check the listed axis’ one at a time and the slider indicator does not move when i move my throttles.

Go back in the A320 cockpit, move the throttle levers and they jump from around 60% to full, no reverse thrust axis.

Now even more frustrated.

Help…please?

Didn’t work for me either. Doesn’t appear to be a “working feature” at this time.

It’s another bug that appeared since the “update” yesterday.
Before it, only 50% of the axis was recognized, but now, the game recognize the axis as a button.

This is starting to be hilarious.

What an absolute joke. Spent parts of the last 3 days trying to get in the sim and now this…why???

Don’t want to go into a tailspin rant, already did that on another thread.

Just need to find a fix for this current issue, but my frustration had turned into anger at this point…Absolutely unreal.

I totally understand you. Had tons of bugs in every flight.

But.. Welcome to FS24 alpha test.

Same issue for me. It has gotten totally ridiculous and I have decided to go back to 2020 for a few weeks or more until they get this ironed out and Fenix and PMDG get their planes converted over to 2024. Not worth the frustration at all especially when 2020 is a really good platform right now.

I got to spend about 30 hours with 2024 before getting a refund. I know how broken it is. It looks pretty but everything internally is dysfunctional at best.

With this amount of bugs I don’t think that PMDG and Fenix will migrate in the next months. It’s a complete loss of time and energy.

I agree. Robert Randazzo said the same.

Yes that’s totally possible. Glad 2020 is going to still be around for a while.

Did you try calibrating them in the A320 EFB?

I can imagine if they started testing right now.
The beta test team (some companies have it, despite of Asobo) will never know if the bug is from the plane or the sim.

Yes didn’t work.

I use a t flight hotas 1 with a thrustmaster on Xbox and mine has been even worse my throttle / joystick are doing the opposite as they are supposed to - I’m not sure if it’s some settings I need to change or a bug however it’s taken me 3 days to play aswell

I did, same result. I even double checked that the side stick switch is on pc and not xbox, and the quadrant switch is on eng 1&2. Even went to the Thrustmaster website and looked around there. As far as I can tell, everything is correct.

I really appreciate the feedback!! Thank you.

It sounds like an issue with the sim, surprise surprise.

Guess I’m going back to 2020, or get back into racing.

Oddly enough - racing isn’t nearly as frustrating for me.

Dealing with this hot mess is unacceptable.

I’m having similar issues. The calibration is way off on the TCA Thrustmaster throttles in the A320neo - idle is at 90% and climb at 96%. Taxiing or flying with the A/T off is impossible.

Adjusting the sensitivity curves does nothing at all.

It really is the gift that keeps on giving, this sim… :slightly_frowning_face:

I just did the same landing challenge back to back with 2020 and 2024: A320neo at Akureyri.

I own a Thrustmaster TCA Caption X Airbus Edition. In 2024, the throttle levers don’t work as they should. I push them all the way up and power goes to idle. I push them all the way to idle and they go to 90% thrust. I push up and down and thrust eventually stops responding in the game.

Then I did the same challenge in 2020 and it’s like magic. Everything just works. Control is so precise that I can set it at 23% or even 97%. This is default settings in 2020 without any calibration.

I think the configuration of the peripheral is buggy and broken in 2024. Until resolved to behave like in 2020, I cannot play Flight Simulator 2024.

setting=>TCA quadrant=>throttle1/2=>click the “set inverted axis”.
Hope it can help you:)
