Thank for the help. But with the new calibration option on the flypad i manage to solve the problem;)
i cannot find it i do have flightsim 2020 did every thing u said to do it is thru steam and i have expremental installed
i put this line in but no luck
%appdata%\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\flybywire-aircraft-a320-neo\work
Are there any files in the \work\ folder?
Good morning / after morning.
I am using the FlyByWire A320 Experimental version - recently installed the standalone model, having previously been usin the MOD model.
Only got my shiny new Sidestick and Throttle Quadrant couple of days ago. My first problem when installing was with the sidestick. After spending many hours smashing my head and pulling all my hair out, I eventually got that one sorted, but that’s another story for another day. But having got that little problem sorted, my first thought was “HEY! Now I can go fly and try it all out…”. But that was short lived as I quickly ran up against this throttle detents alignment thing - and no thrust reverser either.
Having found various articles on the topic, I set about trying to get it sorted - more head banging and hair pulling ensued. As others have mentioned, I too could not find the ThrottleConfiguration.ini (it WAS in the work folder during the days of the MOD files!). So I wondered if it had been installed in a different folder along with the new standalone installation and thereafter I went on a quest to try and track it down. I did not have any luck, but due to my inquisitive nature I did find this >
[THROTTLE_LEVELS]
level_1_min =-100
level_1_name =“REV”
level_2_min =0
level_2_name =“IDLE”
level_3_min =1
level_3_name =“A/THR”
level_4_min =82
level_4_name =“CL”
level_5_min =91
level_5_name =“FLX”
level_6_min =96
level_6_name =“TOGA”
It can be found in the cockpit.cfg file [ \LocalCache\Packages\Community\flybywire-aircraft-a320-neo\SimObjects\AirPlanes\FlyByWire_A320_NEO ].
As it turns out, it was in no way of any use with this problem, but I though it worth mentioning as it MIGHT be handy to know sometime in the future.
So back to the detents problem. I then read the comment from buffel73 about fixing it using the new callibration tool on the FlyPad (Experimental model only I believe). I didn’t even know it (callibration tool) existed until then, so all excited I gave it a try. After my first attempt at stumbling through the tool, those detents actually lined up! Except for the fact I still have no thrust reversers. I did discover that having used the tool it did save a new ThrottleConiguration.ini file in the work folder!
So this is where I am at the moment. There are a couple of ‘bits’ that I am about to start tinkering with (in the callibration tool) as I haven’t yet figured them out - like ‘Reverser On Axis’ & ‘Dual Axis’.
The other thing to figure out is the ‘Start’ and ‘End’ settings. For instance ‘Idle Start’ and ‘Idle End’ ? I thought Idle was Idle and any other setting was not Idle ? I foresee a long day ahead!
So, I will report back here with any worthwhile updates, but in the meantime – if anyone has any clue about why those thrust reversers are currently refusing to work…

Ensure you have Reverser on Axis and Dual Axis both selected.
The Start and End are so you can set a dead zone around each detent. It’s important to set a dead zone (especially for the Climb detent, otherwise the auto throttle won’t work properly.)
Now that was a very fast reply! Many thanks for your input. I sort of figured out the deadzone thing (needs more refinement) but I so far hadn’t even thought about having both Reverser on axis and Dual Axis selected together!. FS has just re-loaded so I’m off to try that right now. If it works I’m going to track you down and give you a big hug!!
YUP! That sorted it. Now if only you could see the ginormous grin on my ugly mush!
And if anyone interested, here are the ThrottleConfiguration.ini settings that work for me (yours might be a little different of course) >
[throttle_common]

[throttle_axis_2]

Many, many thanks to all those helpful replies. I wish you all happy flying days.
Right, time to make a cup of tea then set about kncocking up a new flight plan…

Thank you for sharing this. I was looking for this info to fix the throttle.
