Same problem here. Since SU 5, engine switch 1 is not working. Engine crank/start not working, auto brake not working. Tried to reassign mappings but did not help.

Same issue with key3 (Engine 1) it seems that it is stuck in off, therefore the engine is stoped Mine occurred after the new update. Cleare comunity folder same for A320 NEO and FBW Regards Erik

but sure you can play - you then have to switch ENG1 with the mouse.
