I have the Thrustmaster TFRP rudder pedals and have the TFRP connected directly into my Thrustmaster throttle quadrant. Can you run the pedals that way or does it need to be plugged in directly into USB to work? When I just use them plugged into the throttle quadrant it doesnt show my rudder pedals in the controller options? TIA!
Hello, the pedals do not appear in the settings, but if they appear in the sensitivity settings, you can use them perfectly.
Sorry, kind of new with this. So what would be the proper settings for them then?
Left brake axis = joystick right axis.Y
Right brake axis = joystick right axis. X
Ok, and what would be the Yaw or Twist in the rudders?
joystick right axis. Z .. this is the rudder
Ok, when you say Joystick your actually talking about the rudder correct?
Yes.
Of course all this in TCA Q-ENG 1&2 and the pedals connected to it
Personally, if you have a USB port to spare, I would just plug them in the USB port. It gets recognized as rudder pedals and should be mapped correctly by default.
I have all my controls directly plugged into USB connectors and they all work fine and appear in the controller options : Thrustmaster Joystick Airbus ed. + TFRP rudder pedals + TCA Q-ENG 1&2.
Just make sure to remove the rudder setting on the joystick (z axis) to avoid redundant command with the TFRP.
Bonjour les gars
Quelqu’un peut-il me dire s’il est possible d’obtenir la position 0 pour les pédales de gouvernail après avoir appuyé sur la pedal ?
For now if for example I press and release left pedal, the plane s tail stay blocked on the left
Hi,this thread is referred to TFRP rudder pedals.Have you the same pedals?. When you press and release a pedal it returns back to neutral position and the rudder should not remain blocked but return to neutral position too. You may check on the controls set-up the “sensitivity” of the pedals and see if they remain blocked. Furthermore, if you use a joystick with the Z axis, make sure to unbind it in order to avoid dual inputs for the rudder (joystick + pedals).
Hi, I use TFRP rudder pedal, and yes I use Joystick too. So I will uncheck joystick rudder button.
Hello guys so I check my settings and I disabled rudder functionnality of my joystick but the problem is still there, my TFRP stay in position (right or left), center position not come back after press pedal… is there someone can share theses settings ?
Hi Tarick, there isn’t much you can do here. In this case you should consider the case that your TPRP are faulty. My first set of TPRP was faulty too (different problems) and I returned it to the seller for replacement.
See my setting in the attached pic
Hello everyone
I have been using Thrustmaster TCA captain pack (Xbox Series X) for some time and decided to buy rudder pedals. As TFRP seemed as the only viable option to go with TCA , I have opted for them.
Connected them directly to the joystick and they are not working at all. MSFS doesnt even detect inputs from them. Tried shutting down game, restarting console, even unplugging from power source as suggested, but nothing helps. Does anyone use similar setup?
Thanks in advance!
Hi, I have the TCA Officer pack (no add-ons) and the TFRP is directly plugged into a USB port. You may try this solution
Thanks. Is it on console?
the rudder axis are (unfortunately) not seen as a separated input from the joystick (same for the quadrant) so are bound to the same profile as the tca joystick
did you see if whithin the tca profile sensitivity the rudder axis are actually working?
you also need to be sure to bind them to the relative controls (left and right rudder and brake)
Well, my TFRP rudder pedals are plugged on a USB port and the sim ,under Controls, see it as a separate rudder device on which you then set your binding .Once done you have to revise your settings on the joystick and delete the rudder setting (Z axis) from there. You cannot have two different devices with the same settings which will cause a lot of misfunctions.
