Thrustmaster TWCS Throttle Issues - Help

Recently got TWCS throttle to use with F18. A couple of issues that makes it unusable. Hoping someone can help. I am using the default TWCS setting in MSFS. Issues seem to be with all planes with TWCS. No issues if I use another throttle (Logitech quadrant)

  1. The throttle is very twitchy, constantly going full throttle and back to like 30% then full then back and on and on. Very frustrating. like a Gremlin playing a sick joke. lol totally not funny!
  2. upon takeoff with and without afterburner, the nose shoots straight up like trim is pinned.

Cant seem to figure out how to solve the TWCS.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

edit: adding my other hotas in case there is an issue elsewhere:
Honeycomb Alpha, Logitech Throttle Quadrant, VKB Gladiator NXT, Logitech Rudder pedals.

Sounds very much like you have some conflicting key binds on your other peripherals that are causing this issue.

I’m using the TWCS with the Hornet without any problems.

I would disconnect every other peripheral. Only have your stick and throttle connected. If that fixes it, then you need to find what keybind you have mapped to different controllers at the same time. If you still have an issue, then you should probably delete your stick and throttle profiles and start them from default and see if you’re OK.

2 things to check.

  1. DiView is a simple but useful tool to check actual hardware functionality.
    Download it here.
Utilities & Configuration Software : Leo Bodnar Electronics

  2. Go through the profiles of all your connected peripherals. Check for duplicate mappings. (For example throttle may also be mapped to the Gladiator NXT or the Logitech throttle quadrant)
    Clear those duplicate mappings.

If you want multi devices for different aircraft then you could create custom profiles for each peripheral that are essentially unmapped.
Therefore if you want to fly fast jets with the TWCS but also have throttle mapped to the Logitech then create a Logitech profile that’s blank and make it active whenever you feel like having the TWCS as your throttle.
(Likewise create a blank profile for the TWCS for when you fly using the Logitech)

I actually run 2 Virpil throttles but I have one mapped to throttle functions and the other mapped to mix/prop pitch functions so they do not conflict or override one another.

If you have both the TWCS AND your Logitech Throttle quadrant connected at the same time, the throttle axis are probably fighting each other (you reduce the TWCS to 30%, the logitech forces it back to 100%). Just disconnect the Logitech when you’re using the TWCS.
