Tile borders visible in TIN areas when LOD changes occur

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
When flying near a TIN area (Australia Gold Coast in this instance) there appear to be subtle differences in elevation between different LOD levels. This becomes visible as thin tile boders when the tiles change from what appears to be medium to high LOD levels. This effect only seems to appear near TIN/Photogrammetry areas.

Did you experience this issue before you joined the Beta?
This only started occurring in this area afer 1.39.2.0. I’m unsure if it started after 1.39.3.0 or 4.0.

If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:
Any aircraft, including default Asobo aircraft in safe mode

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
Was running FSLTL, LittleNavMap, and the Octavi plugin at the time. The flight experienced a CTD shortly after entering this area. I reflew the flight in safe mode, and still noticed the tile border effect.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Every time if the steps below are followed. Note that even without following the steps below, the effect is visible from both the cockpit or external views when you are close enough.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Set up a flight near a TIN/Photogrammetry area, ideally from outside the area, flying towards it (eg leaving YBNA and flying north towards the Gold Coast)
  2. Using the drone view at maximum speed, move ahead of the aicraft towards the TIN area
  3. Once the drone view is far enough ahead of the aircraft, switch back to cockpit view for a few seconds, then back to drone view.
  4. If the drone is far away enough, the terrain around the drone may have reverted to a low LOD mode, but it will quickly fill in with detail
  5. If you do this outside a TIN area (or at least outside the Gold Coast area) you will see the details gradually fill in with no visible tile borders
  6. If you do this close to a TIN area, you may see more defined tile borders due to slight elevation changes between what appear to be the medium LOD and high LOD tiles.

I’m afraid they will care about bing related issues these days. My previous post a while ago haven’t been getting any response from them.
