Hi,
I have been trying to find out how to compress time with the simulator.
I have read the ‘R’ key, then + or -, I have also reay the Y key, and the up or down arrows on the number pad. Neither of these work on my system.
Can anybody she light on what I’m doing wrong?
Thanks

Go into Options → Controls, select the keyboard
And search for Sim Rate
and Slew
to find which keys are bound.

By default you have to use ‘r’ ( no shift needed) followed by L_Ctl+L_Alt together, and Numeric + and - .
Be aware there is no indication showing the rate.
You have to remember how many + (or - ) you have used.

one way to estimate the current speed of the simulator is by looking at the plane’s clock

You can also check the light on the tail. It flashes once a second. Also to reset to normal, press the “-“ a few times to get it to the slowest rate and then “+” twice to get back to normal.

Pretty primitive, isn’t it? There needs to be a “set real time” key combination forthwith.

Hi @Pieter1982NL
There were no keys bound - fixed!
Thanks for your help.

Hi @GB014934
Turns out, there were no keys bound to that command - all fixed now though.
Thanks for that.

Hi @CapitanBeto7549 ,
There’s a clock?? As if those cockpits don’t have enough dials already
I like the method of just reducing the sim rate to minimum, then going up 2 notches. (Worked for me anyway).
Thanks for the tip

Hi @ExtinctCorgi410 ,
That works a treat
Thanks for the tip.

Hi @anon28099226 ,
It would be very helpful to have these commands (and others) in a menu available in the menus with weather, vmap etc, with the current sim rate shown.
thanks

This is in regards to not having some sort of icon or status text when in time compression / sim rate other than 1x
It’s not convenient having to keep the clock in sight to know where you’re at. Why can’t they add this seemingly easy display?
