Did they mention anything in the dev stream?

Martial (?) did seem to did seem to say he had seen the conversations about Tobii still being an issue. Did not seem to give an indication of when it would be fixed

Opentrack works great with Tobii and it’s a small program to use. You dont need Tobii’s game hub as they suggest (that takes 600MB from your memory and is basically useless for MSFS)

Thanks, I did not know OpenTrack works with Tobii. I will try it!

Edit: I downloaded OpenTrack and I did a quick test and it works perfectly with Tobii and with straight forward mapping process while flying.

I think it only tracks the head movement not in combination with eyes at least but it works great while waiting for the in-sim settings to be fixed.

The problem is, Opentrack breaks G-sync. So a no go for me.

No idea, I dont have G-Sync enabled. Does it happen in both windowed and fullscreen?

Yeah unfortunately.

For my part, while waiting for the TOBII to work again, I use FaceTracknoIR
which allows, in the Freetrack 2.1 game protocol settings, to check “Start FakeTrackIR.exe” and therefore deceive MSFS2024.

All that remains is to adjust the curves and the Accela MK2 filter…

They still didn’t fixed it. This is truly unbelievable. Tobii is useless.

Yes they are aware of this because:

  • On Dec 9 they updated this topic to add the “Bug logged” tag.
  • During the last live dev Q&A they acknowledged there’s something else to investigate: https://youtu.be/mbx-5qulY2k?t=2081 (31:41)
  • Tobii is tracking the issue and there’s no doubt they want a fix.

I really wonder how hard it is to simply copy paste the tobii interface from FS2020…

In some ways this sim is years behind FS2020 in the current state.

I want to express my disappointment for whoever checked last bug related to crashing when opening hardware settings in msfs. It got marked as resolved when it was clearly not working as expected. People didn’t care that it crashed, people complained that they couldn’t set tobii, it is just a lack of respect.
