Today's patch has broken the Airbus displays - 20/12/2024

You don’t have to be able to reproduce the problem. I have the Xbox and it’s real. What possibilities do you have with an Xbox which is a closed system and you only have to switch it on.

Sorry to ask, but do you have an Xbox at home? Then please turn it on and fly the sim with the box for a few days. So many things go wrong, you just wonder if they test this simulator themselves.
Because it’s really funny. Some people here in the forum would almost say it’s up to you. I have the xbox. What can you do wrong, especially as this is a very obvious error.

There was a patch friday

They’re on Christmas vacation now, so I doubt you’ll see anything before January.

•Yes.

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• Downgrade texture quality to medium and was able to replicate. Is not purely an ini issue cause it seems to happen on the default 737max on my end but not to an extent it covers the entire primary flight display

I just finished a 9,5 hour flight followed by a 11,5 flight in the A330 without even shutting my Xbox (Series X) down between those two flights.

Maybe I am one of the lucky few who are just connected to the correct server.

its Asobo bugs or, can we fix this self ?

Nice work guys, a nice update deployed just before the weekend, but who does this but you seriously ???

same issue here, all iniBuilds airbuses. good friday release, great job.

It’s fine for me. A320neo cockpit. It looks like all people who are suffering this issue should have some configuration or addon that is causing a conflict.

Its already confirmed to be caused by having texture resolution on low or medium, sadly texture resolution on high leads to abysmal performance for me so not a solution

Absolutely, we wouldn’t have to reduce the quality of textures if the simulator were really better optimized. At equivalent settings between MSFS-2020 and MSFS-2024, many of us suffered a significant loss of FPS on MSFS-2024, even though this edition was supposed to be better coded than 2020…

I first encountered this bug on Friday, initially hoping it was just a server issue caused by weekend traffic. It turned out to be (yet another!!!) instance of poor software testing from Asobo.

This is the final straw for me with this product. No way I will invest on a Fenix A320 in this plataform or even installing MSFS2020 again. Canceling my Xbox subscription and switching back to X-Plane 12 for the time being…

I can 100% confirm the bug is triggered when the Texture Resolution is set to Medium or below. Today, I decided to test this by increasing the setting to High and starting up the iniBuilds A321 at SBGR (busy international airport with lots of traffic). Lo and behold, all my avionics worked fine!

My poor RTX 4060 was screaming as the VRAM usage peaked at 99%, but then it settled back down to around 90% as everything finished streaming in. Still, I have a feeling this will make for a stutterrific experience when actually landing at large airports, even though my valiant GPU somehow held up without stuttering while my aircraft was parked at the gate (with framegen on). So, this issue has to be solved, hopefully before too long.

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• yes I have it in MS 2024

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• airbus display blanking after first load of the aircraft, workaround is to delete rolling cache every time I want to any airbus

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

I still get terrible performance on it compared to 2020. I’ll keep flying Fenix in 2020 until full release compatibility.

Yep, increasing texture resolution will just result in running into the VRAM bug. Trading one bug for another.

A workaround for the workaround for those of us without 4090s that can’t run iniBuilds airliners at High or Ultra Texture Resolution without dropping below 20fps:

  • Boot the sim
  • Change Texture Resolution to High/Ultra
  • Restart the sim
  • Load a flight with the iniBuilds Airbus of your choice
  • Change Texture Resolution to Low/Medium (it is crucial that this happens during a flight, not before it)
  • Perform the flight without ever restarting
  • Repeat from step one for the next flight

The sim will warn you that you need to restart in order to apply the Texture Resolution change to Low/Medium - IGNORE THIS. This is the part that will revert the screens back to being broken. However, even without restarting, lowering this setting during a flight will still have a significant positive impact on performance, even if the sim claims it hasn’t been applied.

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

Yes, exactly as the other player explained. After receiving the update, i wanted to fly and the instrument panel was similar to the above. Not very pleased, haven’t got airborne yet!

• yes

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• PFD/Nav screens white screens on all default Airbus A/C. The only fix to this is to increase texture quality to High or ultra which cuts frames to below 25 and is stuttery. This is not an issue in INI A300 premium, this only affects default A/C.

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

Did you restart the sim after changing the setting to High or Ultra?
