Toggle Cockpit to External camera

I wish to toggle between external view and cockpit view by pressing the same button on a Thrustmaster joystick.

In the External Camera menu in Controls Options I have assigned the Toggle External View to the joystick button and I am able to toggle from Cockpit to External camera.

However, I am unable to toggle from the External camera back to the cockpit. I have assigned the same joystick button to Toggle Cockpit View in the Cockpit Camera menu but noting happens when I press the button.

I am able to sucessfully switch between views using the end key on the keyboard.

Any ideas on what I’m missing?

There is a command called cockpit / external view mode that I use for this and it seems to work as you describe. But I also have a button for toggle cockpit view, so maybe this combination is adequate.
