"toggle external view" keybind appears to be broken

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
The “toggle external view” key command appears to be broken, you can jump to external view but won’t get back inside. When you click the camera control window in the menu bar the view jumps back into the airplane.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)? everytime for the last 5 flights since I have set this keybind.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. set a keybind to “toggle external view”
  2. use it to get to the external camera
    3.try to get back with this keybind.
    4.open the camera control app in the menu bar

No idea what the toggle command is supposed to do then.. but anyway, it works so!

• Item still an issue, you can go to external but it does NOT togge back. The solution is NOT the same items that is descrobed in the original bug report. The faulty item is toggle external view, this can be overcome by using a different command cockpit/external view but the toggle external view does not toggle , so probably remove it as a command as it adds no value and is confusing.

It works for me. I have one of my joystick buttons set to toggle external view and it works and I can get back to cockpit view when I press It again. So no, don’t remove it.

I think I read in on of the last changelogs that they fixed several camera system issues. Not sure why the same command works differently for the two of you. I haven‘t tried it since the command provided above does the very same. :man_shrugging:t2:

Well not a big deal I suppose, just seems like why two commands doing the same thing and why does one not work (for me at least) but works for some. Weird but we move on…
