Toggle to disable contextual engine-start hints

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:The previous MSFS2020 toggles (User Experience, Notifications, In-Flight Tips, Checklist Assistance, Cockpit Prompts) no longer exist, and the new SU4 Assistance menu does not provide any way to disable contextual engine-start hints such as “Press X to start engine” or “Increase throttle to taxi.” This is extremely annoying to those of us who have no need of such “assistance”.

I am not seeing contextual engine-start hints such as “Press X to start engine” or “Increase throttle to taxi.” in FS2024. Could you provide screenshots ?

Hello,

I think you can find what you’re looking for under Assistances, “Piloting and control notifications” :

AhhHA! — I thought I had searched all through Assistance(s), but I had somehow completely missed that one, in Visual. Anyway, it’s now off, so hopefully the nuisance will disappear.

I’ll just have to wait and see whether it ever returns (it’s that old thing about the difficulty of proving a negative, I guess…).

Huge thanks!
