Is it possble to bind a keyboard shortcut to switch between setting altitude by 100s vs 1000s? I know I can use my mouse, but try to use my mouse as little as possible. I’ve not found anything that makes me thinks this is a function I can access.
I’ve found some older (now closed) topics on this that had no resolution, but thought maybe something has been introduced in an update since.
We ask that people not use General Discussion for help, advice, or troubleshooting. The subcategory Aviate, Navigate, Communicate is the subcategory for help with operating aircraft.
For future reference, here is a list of what the blue categories mean:
Aircraft
is where you discuss current or future planes coming to MSFS.
World
is where you discuss scenery, airports, and weather.
Tech Talk
is where you discuss graphics, drivers, performance, CTDs, and hardware.
Menus & Activities
is where you discuss activities (landing challenges, bush trips, etc), plus anything accessed by the menus including the Marketplace, settings, logbook, cameras, etc.
And it actually still works It’s a bit of a pain to set up the very first time, though I hope the instructions in that article are as clear as possible. But once you have set it up, you really forget about it. Then all you have to do is launch UCR, activate your profile and then launch Spad.next, so essentialy a 5-second process.
Nowadays I’m using the above hack with a 6x2 keyboard to emulate LSK keys for CRJ’s MCDU:
It works like a charm. And it obviously has the potential that you can use a full secondary keyboard to map dozens and dozens of physical keys, without going through MSFS control settings at all, thus controlling everything via Spad’s API calls.
