Welcome to the 224th flight in Gunpilot’s new SHORTER series of Challenging flights. This is a landmark event in that its 5 years ago this week that the first Gunpilot’s Challenging Flights event in the sim was conducted, and 5 years later we are still going strong!!!
Flight Details:
First of all, a big shoutout to our good mate AIRSHO who was one of the pilots flying in the first ever Gunpilot event back in November 2020 in PNG, and I felt it only right to conduct this special flight in his home country of Japan…….thanks mate for all your support over the years, you truly are a great “Wingman” 
Two rival teams of Bell 407 pilots—RotorRage and BladeBanzai—will blaze northward and southward through Tokyo’s night sky, slicing through industrial zones, port districts, neon-lit city centers, and sleepy suburbs like caffeinated dragonflies on a mission. The race will be fast, furious, and full of aerial antics, with pilots dodging billboards, navigating tight corridors between skyscrapers, and occasionally mistaking rooftop gardens for helipads (much to the horror of one startled bonsai collector).
The route will be packed with iconic landmarks flashing by in a blur—Tokyo Tower, Rainbow Bridge, the Sumida River, and even a cheeky flyby of Shinjuku’s glowing skyline. Each team will need to stay sharp, as the race will demand precision flying, lightning-fast reflexes, and a healthy disregard for common sense. With egos as inflated as their fuel tanks and bragging rights on the line, the pilots will push their machines to the limit, trading altitude for speed and jokes for jabs over the radio.
