Hello guys,
I am having a problem with my fps in msfs 2020. I own a RTX 2060 Super (OC) , Ryzen 5 3600 (OC), 16 GB RAM and i am playing this game on a SSD. Now i have a lower fps then i usually should have. I am now around 30-40 fps on high settings. This is much lower then i usually should have with this game. I have nothing in my community folder. I am playing this game on 1920 x 1080. Maybe someone has a solution for me
Are you flying airliners or GA aircraft? if its airliners then 30-40 would be about right for your system specs
I am flying with Airliners, but i sometimes have massive fps drops with them what is absolutely new for me. I usually got between 40 - 50 but now i am happy when i get around 30. There are sometimes massive fps drops to 12 or 1 fps without a reason.
Okay give this ago, in graphical settings got right down to the bottom and it will say glass cockpit refresh rate, set that to low or medium and let me know if that helps at all.
I did that, and my fps is better than with high. With a high refresh rate i get around 20-25 fps. But i am still around my 30 fps
Open geforce experience and let the program select the best specs for your sim according to your hardware. And, for sure…keep your drives updated. The last patch from nvidia optimized performance in MSFS and a bunch of other games.
But keep in mind: you will never run a simulator at 144fps…maybe (and again, maybe) 60fps is the goal.
Honestly you’re FPS sounds about normal for that hardware. I gave the same CPU + a 2070s, 32gb RAM and running on an M.2 SSD @ 1080p and my FPS is around the same or less on high settings!
I find Orbx london and Orbx EGLC are terrible in VR and fps
No it isn’t something is definitely wrong there.I also run an rtx2060super and getting similar fps on 3440x1440p mix of high/ultra,weather conditions, location and the plane you fly this card clearly is capable of running on my screen. Forget the Airliners they are heavily CPU bound.
So nothing about that sounds normal when an rtx2060super should be getting way more frames @1080p and I understand this is a flight simulator but if I am able to get 30-50fps on 3440x1440 with the same card there is something else wrong on the user’s end.
Could possibly be tied to what he has installed.
You can’t really make a fair comparison if you’re not comparing the same scenarios.
Ok guys, something like forget the airliners is not a solution for problems and it is basically in my opinion an idiotic idea. I found a program called FPSFix and it helped me to gain 5-10 FPS because it fixes the refresh rate too. So my game is now playable with the A32Nx with around 30-40 FPS on high which is great for me. Luckily I didn’t encounter some of the micro lags till now but maybe it will change when I try to land on a specific airport in my region.
Where did he mention sceneries? Like I said forget the airliners they are not well optimized for this sim. Next time read my post and you are likely to be more cpu bound @1080p in a game like this…Cleary you should you should know that? His CPU cannot keep up.
Sadly for Airliners you’re going to want a beefier CPU until Asobo optimizes.I am getting decent performance with the latest FBW build.
I still cant understand with what type of plane you are flying. Are you getting great fps with GA aircrafts or Airliners? As you already said that makes a huge different
Like I said I am getting decent performance on the latest developer fbw build and it clearly has nothing to with the GPU.Yeah the performance is not as high as GA planes but I am able to get 30-40fps with the a320 depending on where I fly.Clearly you need a better CPU.Different hardware different results.
I said scenarios not sceneries.
