Tornado Damage Visible in Flight Simulator

On May 28, 2019 a violent tornado tracked 29 miles from south of Lawrence, Kansas toward the Kansas City area. Damage rated at EF4 occurred on the west side of Linwood, Kansas with several houses completely flattened. The landscape scars, debris littered yards, empty slabs and gaping holes where houses once stood are visible in the simulator.

The aircraft shown here is in the livery of a real King Air used by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to conduct aerial storm damage surveys. Livery is courtesy Nutkinthe3rd: King Air 350i NOAA (N68RF) • Flight Simulator 2020

Note that I had to tweak the scenery and disable some of the autogen to expose the damage, as the simulator blissfully draws pristine houses and trees on top of areas that were flattened.
