Umm, which is it, 83 or 54?
I’m going to imagine it’s just a typo, 54 being left over from last week? In any event, my brain broke a little. But then I recovered and got the actual information I care about on my own…
For instance, personally, I don’t see a difference between Xbox or PC when I’m thinking about how many products are new, or available for that matter. I’d rather see a summary of the total unique new products (looks like 42 in this case), since most of those are released on both platforms at the same time. Sure, in the icon for each product it should say which platform(s) it was released on, but, in summary, technically there’s only 42 new products released as far as MSFS is concerned. But that’s just me, and I can justify either way…
Either way, I only commented because my brain broke for a second trying to figure out what was being said

The marketplace is odd to me. If I’m in MS2024 Marketplace why is there so much product labeled 2020? I get they may be compatible, but how about changing the labels to be consistent and so we know for sure they are tested and working with 2024? And include another separate label on those that says that it came from 2020, and it’s NOT new streaming content.
Why would I need to alter the search criterior to only show 2020 products? I’M IN 2024!
If I’m streaming an airport and also have that same airport in my Community folder why doesn’t it warn me? It’s aware of them both? I recently had a community folder airport and the same one streaming and it was causing issues. I never would have known without searching thru my content and disabling the community version..
I think the search and UI need a complete overhaul. I see so many confused messages about the marketplace.

- Just because it’s in the Marketplace doesn’t necessarily mean the 2020 product is fully tested. Microsoft, rightly so, does not test products for functionality. They’d never be able to release anything if they did. That responsibility lies with the developer of the product.
- While it may not be important to you to filter on 2020 products available in the 2024 Marketplace, don’t assume there’s nobody who wants that functionality.
- Streaming… sigh… Yeah it’s a bit of a problem at the moment, a very well known issue to the dev staff. Sadly, they haven’t figured out how to fix it. They have no way of being able to sort Community content above “official” content at the moment, nor can they sort Community vs Streamed, apparently, so one trumps the other. And it doesn’t warn you that you have duplicate content, as you noted. They are trying to figure out how to fix the sorting problem, encrypted vs community, there are tons of developers out there who constantly get blamed for their airports being stepped on by other airports, even though they were designed to turn off all other airports. Unfortunately, when they chose how to manage the different types of content, encrypted vs free-for-all vs streamed, well, they rushed to a solution without thinking it all the way through. From what they’ve said, it’s not an easy problem to solve.
Totally agree. I have not been able to use 2024 yet because the UI is so awful I can’t even get started. I’m on a 55" 4K TV, and the whole interface looks like it was designed for a 12" monitor, and there’s not way to change it. That and one of my favorite things to do is sort through my library of planes, check them out, keep it organized so I know what’s where and everything is named consistently. Sadly the library function they developed is completely useless to me. 9 months in the Caribou is still named totally incorrectly. We’re talking about a simple simple edit to fix it, and it hasn’t been done still after all this time. And the organization scheme they chose is totally inane. And because it’s streamed, there’s no way to fix it or change it. I’m so angry about that. I’d love to be able to use 2024. Sadly, I can’t.
I’m very conflicted between loving the whole Sim experience and constantly shaking my head at the weird and frankly strange choices made with this UI.
Microsoft and Asobo can design, deploy and maintain a Flight Simulator in 2025, but they have trouble figuring out if you have a duplicate airport?
I firmly believe ALL the issues simply stem from the fact it was not tested and debugged, but was rushed to release when it was at least a year away from a stable and logical form. I don’t like seeing the (sometime) vicious comments on these boards, but they brought all these complaints on themselves.

What organization scheme?
More like chaos scheme. Big freight hauler in same category as a microlight and gyrocopter, sure. Pure genius.
At least they said they are looking into it properly with PhD-studded UX designers now.
I also hate how sluggish the UI feels. I get that it’s already loaded the world in the background and that must slow it down somehow, but the 2020 menu was a dream in comparison. So much more responsive.
