I’m not sure why so many are having so many issues with TrackIR. I mean, I have no issues with it not working at all… In fact it works just fine. The only issue is that now when I pause TrackIR, no matter what hotkey I use to pause TrackIR, MSFS sees the hardware pause as a disconnection even though the blue light is lit on the TrackIR camera. Perhaps this is more of a simconnect issue? Luckily for me this slight inconvenience requires me to open the camera menu and toggle TrackIR back on in this menu then all is fine and TrackIR works as intended. I’m sure others find it more frustrating if they find themselves using the pause feature more often for various reasons of their own.
I checked in the keyboard key commands and found that F9 was actually bound to a command called Toggle IFR Cockpit Mode. Funny enough, have never seen anything happen when pressing F9 to pause TrackIR prior to SU7, so this IFR mode isn’t working as intended or it just isn’t changing anything that is readily apparent to me. Anyone have any info on what IFR Cockpit Mode would do? I mean I fly many IFR flights in the sim but not sure what this setting would do?
Anyways, I tried clearing this F9 keybind to see if perhaps I could pause TrackIR with no issues but the sim still detects the pause and disables it in the camera options.
I just checked in for game updates in the TrackIR software and there was game support updates. So, I have to test in the sim if this changes anything and if it does I’ll mention it later.
