I have found that 5.4.2 works OK and in fact 5.5.3 seemed a bit flakey - but that may be that, unless you start TrackIR and have it active ie with the tracking actually active then 2024 does not necessarily see the TrackIR and it is not shown in the controls menu. Also if you access the TrackIR in the controls menu it seems not to like it and stops responding - any way I expect it will all get sorted in time.
Adding another voice to the list.
5.4.2 with an updated games list works perfectly fine for me. I start TrackIR before I start MSFS and itās all good. Havenāt had to mess with anything other than to make a MSFS 2024 profile in the TrackIR software so I could rebind the commands to my HOTAS. No drifting off center or whatever while flying. (Spinning globe on main menu though.)
The problem of TrackIR drifting is not caused by TrackIR. In fact, itās the cockpit camera that drifts somehow as just resetting it recenters it.
I have yet to understand what makes the camera drift. It happens quickly. Maybe itās the mouse but I couldnāt find whereā¦
If you have xbox controllers connected than check these for they are very sensitive (this happend also in 2020 early days) it could be avoided by adding a bit of deathzone on the joysticks on the controller
Since toobi was borked, I switched back to trackir and only had to update the software (latest version) and update the list of games in the app and it worked perfectly after some minor tweaks to the axes.
