Unlike MSFS, I don’t see any settings/options for traffic, road traffic, ships etc.
Also havent seen any boats ships. Flying around NYC and area is completly void of any shipping data. Anyone else experience the same?

Just flying around the Thames estuary now. I’ve seen just one ship, so I went and searched for the traffic density slider.
Under Graphics, scroll down to Sea Traffic and it says *‘Adjust the density, quality and display distance for sea traffic’.
Mine was already on Ultra so I guess one ship is the maximum.
Thank you. Unfortunately, being on Xbox, we are void of any graphics settings other than HDR.
I’ll have another fly around later. Maybe it hardwired default setting and not showing due to the launch/server issues
I’m actually seeing a few more now. Maybe they just take a while to show up.
What confuses me: I have disabled online traffic (real time) and multiplayer and still see tons of aircraft moving (for example in EDDF). It seems the settings are ignored?
I was confused about this as well but I learned from another forum poster that you should set Airport Traffic to OFF in Graphics setting. I am at work so I have not yet been able to test this myself.
I’m pretty sure it is “off”, but will check later.
Unable to test but sounds lite Airport Traffic would also include service cars etc. I dont want to set them to OFF only the annoying AI traffic (still want to use Live traffic though) By the way, strange location in my opinion to put this option in Graphics setting.
I had it on. When I first got in … man planes were flying by taking off. Then your out and hours go by before you get back in which now is easy. Now every time I flew never one plane in the air none trying to take off and yeah no boats anywhere. Never seen one ALL the time I flew. WOOT FUN
I am on PC Steam version and have no traffic tab under general settings. Super frustrating
That’s because, as pointed out above, it’s in the Graphics settings?
Moved to User Support Hub User Interface & Activities that is more appropriate for community support.
JIC no one has responded. Go to Settings>Graphics>Global Rendering Quality>(click on the arrow to the Left of Global Rendering Quality " < “) >Scroll to the bottom of the list and you will find “Air Traffic”, Road Traffic”, and “Sea Traffic”, and then change settings to the desired level…“Ultra” if good Graphics Card and it will show you as many ships as your system can handle. But, Be carefull it may cause slowing and stuttering if your Internet Speed and or Ram/ Memory is not good enough. Hope this helps.
Do i have to enable online Traffic for ships? I have vessels graphic Settings on ultra but don See any ships on the ocean.
I don’t remember ever seeing a single one. They were there in the alpha (admittedly not always where they should be).
Flew all of the way round from the NE coast of England to the NW coast. Even flew up to the Southampton port area, still nothing.
Shipping on Ultra.
Was I just unlucky?
Do you have nameplates visible?
Actually I cant remember. It was earlier in the week. I was only flying around 4-6000ft. Is that too high to see them? It was fine with that shipping mod that was in 2020.
I will try again over the weekend with nameplates. Just odd that I have not seen a single one tho
From what I’ve seen, the LOD on ships is incredibly aggressive - but if you have nameplates visible, you’ll see where they’re meant to be. Some ships only appear when you’re literally a few feet away.
This seems improved, but not entirely resolved, in the current beta release of Sim Update 1.
OK. Not really much point in having them if the LODS are as bad as that.
Do you know if the mod from 2020 (cant remember the fellas name who created it) works in 2024? May go back to that if it does
