Training Stuck After View RPM

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

In first training lesson in Cessna 172, it won’t advance after instructor asks to look at RPM indicator in PFD. It is requested to do so by using SHIFT+[arrow keys]. I have used all the keys to reposition the view, zoomed in on the RPM gauge and waited 5 minutes, then reset the view to default pilot view, waited 10 minutes but nothing ever happens. Restarted this lesson and the same problem occurrs.

I had the same - the trick is to use the arrows or mouse (right click and move) to place the blue highlighted panel dead centre of the screen.

Problem has magically been resolved. Not sure if I did anything or Asobo fixed it.

Having same issue and it has not magically been fixed. Its asking a ridiculous question using incorrect control inputs. Will not allow further progress.

Yes. For me, the view of the RPM indicator needs to be in the center horizontally, but in the upper third of the screen vertically. Also applies to the airspeed, altimeter, as well as the analog gauges.

I’ve tried putting it in the middle of the screen, top 1/3 rd, pushing all the correct keys and still NOTHING!! This has got to be a bug in the program. You shouldn’t have to work this hard to simply view the RPM indicator!! Very frustrating!!

Ditto, took me a while. You need to be in the furthest view from the screen, and have it centered horizontally, slightly above the midline vertically.
I agree this is a bug and needs to be fixed!

Very non-intuitive. As described and how I fixed mine, I right-click and held to drag the screen around until the highlighted instrument / indicator was in the middle of the screen. It should really tell you to do this. Or even allow you to click it to confirm you know what you are pointing at.

It just starting to work is not a solution. This is a issue for me too.

“This topic has been solved”?!? Uh, no, here I am with a brand new installation, ‘staring’ at whatever instrument the lesson wants (RPM first, then airspeed, …) and it just doesn’t ‘get’ that I am zoomed RIGHT AT THE THING until I drag the screen around and just get lucky!!!
