Transfer controls to msfs2024

me too, cannot see exe html-file

I just used mostly all simconnect for my AP hardware and I added my bravo and TCA stick with devices. It just works after that. Of course you then have to add your switches etc.

Be sure to do the update too. Spad LVAR something and simconnect were updated for 2024.

Custom Views are compatible with MSFS 2024!

It can be done for all aircraft.
Find this path in MSFS 2020

C:\Users\YourUser\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData\wgs\000901F3B8C2046D_0000000000000000000000069F80140

Here you will see folders with many numbers.
You have to open one by one and locate the keyboard.
In my case.
EDEF1C32C71B44D2BC116E51C71086A5

And inside, verify with the notepad that it is the keyboard profile.
In my case

BEEC77715BAC4CC0BA068CDE5C00BF44

Now copy the keyboard profile folder.
In my case.

EDEF1C32C71B44D2BC116E51C71086A5

and paste it into this MSFS 2024 path

C:\Users\YourUser\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData\wgs

Now run your MSFS 2024 and in keyboard controls in general and for aircraft change to MSFS 2020 keyboard

thanks, but very complex and not a solution for normal users

Yes I understand you perfectly.
This may scare more than one a little at first.
But itā€™s easier than it seems.
Now Iā€™m checking if we can also keep our button assignments from our MSFS 2020 controllers and transfer them to MSFS 2024

Thrustmaster Hotas 4 supported in FS2024?
please have look to my post: Thrustmaster Hotas 4 supported in FS2024?
Thks

Thatā€™s exactly what I just completed. I never really used the camera so learning to recreate my basic (msfs default) views remai s a challenge.

Iā€™ve noticed many complaints about key bindings. I was planning on getting AAO for 2020 but never got around to it. Looks like Iā€™ll be picking it up. How,s the learning curve for it? Not for writing scripts but fro control bindings for each plane?

I use SPAD more these days but AOO is simpler and I didnā€™t find any problems with understanding it.

Where you have a double binding. Click on the cog in the right hand column. It will bring all them up. Go tonthe left hand side and un tick the relevant box.

I found tons of post relevant of my issue: Iā€™m an Engineer from decades and had nearly all flight sim which existed from last century. After more than 3 hours (according to Steam) I just give up. Itā€™s the third days I own the sim and still wasnā€™t able to configure my T.16000M + TWCS Control. It was so easy in MSFS2020. Here I feel itā€™s probably more powerful, but at the same time I still understand NOTHING to this new system. So Iā€™ll try to boil down my head during few days before trying again, and have at least a first fly. Itā€™s mind blowing how it can be complexe, and no way to just transfer from MSFS2020 seriously?
and I watched several YT video where guys try explain how to setup an HOTAS, but even those guys seems more confused than I am to not get the result they want.
Red flag Asobo. I give up for now.

Concerning having to redo the settings manually, I have a ?? about a key I have seen mapped to various keys. One key I canā€™t identify is shown something like |____| What key is that?

space key

space key

Move over to Spad.Next. This solved all my control issues. There is a learning curve but itā€™s a solid solution and youā€™ll get in the air faster than trying to figure out the 2024 ā– ā– ā– ā– .

I tried to transfer settings and I just ran on this post and I see one simply can NOT transfer.
This is just, I would need to use a very bad word but I will just say ridiculous.
I just have no words to describe this.
How you can you do that to people, it takes forever to set these controls on different aircraft.

It does take a lot of work to set controls on different aircraft.
See #6. and setup 3 Presets for all aircraft.

Then you can go to each aircraft if you want and change them
specifically.

Yes, I have tried that too.
It is not straight forward to understand to start with but I did that so it transfers to all aircraft but it DOES NOT transfer.
Bunch of errors when trying to remap, like had to do things twice etc. to get the new link.
Went back to my older aircraft, not worth the frustration.
Thank you for the input anyway.

Take the Preset and duplicate it and check the box for ā€œApply to all Aircraftā€
and name it its name. (donā€™t change the name)

That will make it apply to all.

Spad has an update. You may need to subscribe to get it though. I think you get free updates for a year when you subscribe.
