Transfer to new pc?

I really don’t want to go through downloading the whole sim again, what is the easiest way to transfer the sim to my new pc?

The base sim is only a gig or so, so I’d recommend installing that using the official method. The official packages folder is the main (big) one you want to copy over.

There are many advantages in having the downloaded content, i.e. packages (and community folder) in a separate location to the default location assigned at the time of installation. Perhaps the biggest advantage is in relation to having to perform a re-install of the sim. If the content is in the ‘default’ location and MSFS is ever uninstalled then all the downloaded content and community folder will get wiped. I have my FS2020 on my D: drive (Samsung NVMe M.2).

I would install FS2020 and tell it where the “Installed Packages”
are (D:\FS2020).

You should only have to download the initial 1.2 GB.
