Transformable Jet, Work in progress

While I am awaiting the purchase in simmarket or so coz I don’t want to save credit card and organise future updates download platforms, you know… msfs breaks something everytime… so every simupdate we will have to wait for patch and downloading from 3+ sites are a pain.

May I ask how’s the startup procedure goes, like is it the msfs hot key only or some flip panel switch inside cockpit?

And as for pricing, I just want to say if you combine it to a heartbeat purchase at $15 and plan to update it to playable form in the mid to long term, it might be very beneficial to try submit for in game store, that coz Xbox players can DL it and I am sure that is a huge platform for casual heartbeat purchase with such a nice and fun plane

Ready for download. MSFS Transformable Robo-Jet by Skull Squadron Sims.

After all the blood, sweat, and tears, it is finally ready for download. Also, after much thought, you can name your own price, donate, or download the main model to try out.

Download a Non-transforming limited feature VF1S Jet to take for a spin and try out. Super fun, great looking and fast! Due to the nature of creating a model very similar to the Robotech series and to respect and avoid any copyright license issues, you can download this model for free. Or, if so inclined, make a nice donation to recognize and support all of my hard work and the countless hours invested in making this passion project look amazing and fun to fly. Support in any for is much appreciated and I hope to make more projects like this in the near future.

If you enjoy the jet and would like to have the fully transformable VF1S, then I am also offering an “Animation Super Pack” Download.

This Purchase contains animation codes and files that enable exciting animation for the transformations from Jet fighter to Guardian to Battloid and more. Animated features will include push buttons in the cockpit that will activate transformation sequences, ability to turn on/off the display of additional features like heatshield, pilot, elevator and stabilizer wings, and an awesome wing sweep on demand feature. Animated Afterburners activated, enhanced taxi lighting, control sliders to engage different mech poses for when on the tarmac, a push button music playlist and so much more!

Hi all, i just buy the package ! I feel like a child (i am 50 !)

Thanks for this amazing job !

Hi Josfer1, so glad you are loving my passion project at Skull Squadron Sims. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to reach out to me at qikqbn333@gmail.com as well. If you look at my youtube channel you will see lot’s of how to videos to take you through all the controls and setup. It’s a little bit tedious to learn first time, but like any plane, with familiarity comes ease of use.

BTW, I am 55 and my wife says I still have the brain of a 13 year old

Amazing to see this passion project still having wings after all these years !

Remember that we are in a flight simulator. Personally, I do not like adding science fiction objects that do not resemble reality at all, so I consider it a useless aircraft. It is already too much that we currently have the QUASAR, which is still acceptable because it looks like a somewhat more realistic object.

Well, with the current world of robots and drones, I would expect this kind of aircraft to exist in reality before a QUASAR  For those of us who grew up in the 1980’s this was peak sci-fi anime and with Top Gun in the theaters at the same time the F14 Tom Cat will always remain one of the coolest jets I would want to fly. :+1:

Indeed we are in a flight simulator, in which the task is to simulate anything that can fly, included science fiction aircraft.

No, the QUASAR is not “too much” at all. There’s space for everything in this sim. If you’re not interested, you’re free to ignore, but don’t decide for others what is needed or acceptable, and what is not.

Okay, sci-fi aircraft are fine, but let’s not exaggerate. If you create a science-fiction aircraft, you still need to explain why it flies and how it flies. If in a VALKYRIE II you place jet engines under the legs of a robot, and those legs move so easily, then the thrust vector also shifts easily, making the robot uncontrollable.

They still haven’t managed to create a real-life IRON MAN, let alone a Valkyrie VF-2. It’s impossible — jet reactors mounted on the legs make flight control unstable, and this has already been tested and proven. You can even see it in the videos from Gravity.

Sure attaching reactors directly to our pretty pliable appendages would be a disaster. The thing about the Iron Man suit is it’s stiff enough and has fly-by-wire automatic control of the very stiff appendages, so can definitely micromanage the directions of the reactors to control flight. So, it’s not necessarily “impossible”…

But I do agree a lot of the fun of sci-fi tech is understanding how it works. Man, back in the 70’s, I was so happy when my library got the first Star Fleet Technical Manual book!

This is so cool!

I’d love to see a red-and-white livery for this - a homage to Jetfire of The Transformers fame (as his toy was originally redecoed from a Valkyrie). I know, not really related to Robotech/Macross, but still, would be a fun little easter egg.

I just might have to do that! I have the original jetfire toy along with robotech versions of same valkyrie. Be a nice easter egg :+1:

Now this is awesome!

Does it works on MS 2024 ?

I have not tested it on ms2024, but from what I have read, most mods can transfer there. All mods live in the “community” folder, so as long as you download the mods in the community folder it should work as in ms2020.
