Agree. When I’m flying on VATSIM I’m not looking out the window or using the drone to track my plane. I’m Flying; communicating with a REAL ATC person, flying REAL procedures, using instruments (CDU, FMS, MCP) that work.
It’s about SIMULATING flight. It’s NOT about Pretty pictures.
As i said before. There are times when I LOVE the Eye Candy and MSFS is Awesome for that. Someday it will do the rest. I’m patient.
I admire all sim pilots doing Vatsim
FSX was special because addons (the entire flight sim community) changed the entire experience…it always will be special. Some strong memories there.
Currently enjoying FSX in VR…
8X MSAA
6.5 LOD Autogen as far as the eye can see all rendered in full stereoscopic 3D.
FSX Shade
All ORBX and REX goodies with full sliders right solid 30FPS.
The Flyinside injection really brings the virtual cockpits and Rex Skyforce 3D clouds to life in stereoscopic 3D.
Also the Amazon Trek and UFO Intercept Mission are absolutely amazing in VR!
Nice ! could you post a screen shot of the Galapagos Islands please ?
MSFS 2020 doesn’t support multi monitor, i did not know that, seems kind of strange, personally just use my second screen for flight plan, charts and other things but I’m surprised you can’t even use multi monitor setups
Unfortunately NO it does’nt and there is no plan to implement that option in the future. I have a three monitor setup and had MSFS stretched using the center and about 1/4 of the other two. Was too stretched/washed out and cost way too much in performance. So now back to one (43") and also just use the other two for Littllenavmap, Navigraph Charts and a few others.
I run X-Plane 11 on all three (not stretched) and P3Dv5.2 stretched on two (crisp in the middle and a little stretched on edges). Again, don’t go outside the cockpit much so only need to have a good view of the codkpit with working instruments.
Odd, I’d have figured so long as you had the monitors set up right in the graphics driver you could just set that custom resolution in game and be good to go
Pretty sure there’s an addon for this using a 2nd (less powerful) PC
If You haven’t tried it You should. Takes a little bit to get setup and You can start small (C172 ). Being Very familiar with your plane is a must cause sometimes You have to react quickly to an ATC instruction.
It’s A Lot of Fun and Truely As Close as us non-Real World Pilots will ever get to the real thing.
MSFS in-game ATC will Never come close.
Yet everybody and their mothers went with ortho sceneries, set a very high expectation in models textures, developers created countless airports, sky add-ons, etc…
Sorry, but the community has always demanded good graphics as much as the flight fidelity.
Do you know what the name of the add on is?
And now we have that Wonderful thing called CHOICE. You can go with Eye Candy. You can go with Pure Simulation. And in some small (but growing) cases you can have both.
Doesn’t get much better than that.
I can’t remember. However if you use search at the top for multiple screens you’ll surely find it. Otherwise start a new thread.
I’ve had a quick look myself, there’s a bit about pop out panels but I’m pretty certain there was a real solution. If not take no notice of those who say it’s not planned as it’s listed 2021/22
I’ll keep looking. If you run across it let me know. Have used Air Manager (on a 2nd pc) in the past. Worked Great but you can’t truely get a “scenery only forward view” on the main monitor yet (it’s coming also).
Do you mean FSUIPC ?
Now that you say it I think Air Manager was what I was thinking of, the second PC bit might have been for something else, hydraulics maybe?
Could be … explain more if you can?
Once we have true multi monitor support and an option to remove the cockpit to have a scenery only forward view, Air Manager on a 2nd PC (or tablets) will be an Awesome setup.
