I’m trying to set up TrinusVR as I do have a PSVR set. It all works fine but can only run MSFS in Cinematic Mode. It looks and runs awesome though but has anyone found out what settings to use for the full VR setting? I’m kind of puzzled on how to set it up. VR Conversion doesn’t work as I run MSFS from the Windows Store and that doesn’t seem to use actual .exe files ..
Try iVRy. I don’t have personal experience but I hear it works better and is easier to set up than Trinus. I tried Trinus once with iRacing and never had any luck.
Install vray and configure it, then run it in this order: 1. Make sure that iVRy b Steamvr is not running. 2. Run the MFS2020 in the settings, turn on vr. iVRy and Steam vr should start. Everything should work. Sorry for my English writing through a translator.
I found out how to get proper VR working using iVRy by disabling Steam launching games in cinematic VR mode by going to Steam Settings > “In Game” > and unchecking “Use Desktop Game Theater when launching games while SteamVR is active”.
The game launches on your primary screen then, when you have loaded a flight, hit CTRL TAB and it switches to proper VR mode with PSVR, yay! Now I just have to work out how to make cockpit text readable, but otherwise it’s pretty good.
Does yours launch in Theater mode when first starting up? When mine did it didn’t work in proper VR and crashed out when switching to VR mode via CTRL TAB. Disabling Steam Theatre mode got it working properly for me.
I bought it from the Microsoft Store, so I haven’t launched the game from Steam.
I was curious, so when I asked “Google teacher” variously, it seems that the 2D screen can be seen in the VR space with the general settings of each game on Steam.
“Use Desktop Game Theater while SteamVR is active”
If this is checked, VR should start in theater mode.
As you say, for the Steam version, unchecking Theater mode seems to be the right thing to do.
