Triple 4K Nvidia Surround Worldmap graphics mess

Hello all

Z790 + 4090 + Triples Aorus FV43U in 4K mode with Nvidia Surround. All well and nice untill i get into the World Map to create a mission to fly.

The only thing I can see is blocks. White and Yellow rectangles like the ones in this video which I recorded with OBS to show the bug

When I change the resolution into one monitor 4K (and not NV Surround) I can see their labels with DEPARTURE and ARRIVAL text which is of cors clickable and I can fly. Then I leave it loading and enabling NV Surround again and all its working again! Its simply a nightmare to have to change resolutions of this kind from surrnound to non surround etc etc just to fly from an airport…

I have other reports too from users having exactly the same problem but no solution has been found as yet.

Its simply unplayble

Jim

Have same kind of setup with 3 4K monitors. Use the built in multiple monitor support instead - MUCH MUCH better.

Under General options, experimental, add new display. Gives you 3 axis to control the pictures after that, although initial placement is usually surprisingly good. After new screens are popped out, you can control roll, lateral and vertical alignment.

Many thanks for yr reply! Appreciate it.

And I should have to disable to NV Surround prior? I need it…

Its an alternative to Nvidia and much better. You cant use both methods.

I tried it but did not manage to make it work. I will try it again. Thanks mate!

I’ve got the same monitors with a 4090 and i9-12900k, and haven’t been able to get acceptable framerate at 3x4k with either NvidiaSurround or enabling triple monitors in MSFS. Instead I’ve opted to go with a window that extends from halfway across the left screen to halfway across the right screen (so 2x4k) and with this setup I can keep FPS in the 40-70 range (with Frame Generation enabled, of course).

What I’ve found for the map issue is that once I extend the window just a bit beyond this size, I get the graphics corruption issue you mention; but if I just slightly make the window smaller, it’ll go away. Obviously this doesn’t help in your situation if you’re really determined to get 3x4k working, but just wanted to mention how I solved it for my setup.

I also dabbled with a single window spread accross my three 4K 50" TVs by doing similar…dragging a window from the 1/2 point of the left to the 1/2 way point of the right. Essentially its the same as doing NV Surround but not quite as stretched. I just couldn’t tolerate the image stretching so have gone back to the internal experimental triple monitors and just have to accept the performance hit.
