Triple monitor high realistic configuration

Hi. I’m newbie to MS Flight simulator.
Surfing on the net, I found , i.e., this video that shows a fantastic realism:

The only thing that I know is that are used N.3 curved monitors 4K curved 55".
On the other side, I don’t know wich PC and wich video card are used.
In other words I’m looking for a good value for money configuration that can get closer to this quality.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance.

You need to spend all the monies for that.

All of them.

I bought three 43” 4K TV’s last year. Was a cheaper option than buying three monitors and certainly gave me the immersion. I have a fairly high spec machine though… i9-10900K and an RTX 2080ti
With just one screen I get very good frame rates on high/ultra settings, but is is dramatically reduced when using three screens. You need to bare that in mind if you’re thinking of a similar setup.
Maybe this will change with this big update?

Just a few months on though and I switched to VR which is even better.

Regards
Steve

Hi there,
I moved your post to PC & Hardware. That is where conversations about monitors, graphics cards, drivers, etc. goes.

Just a suggestion here…
Have a look at VR for “realistic” - this is presuming having real physical cockpit controls is not a must.

Had a good chuckle reading that response !

FS 2020 isn’t ready for multi-monitors…yet. The image will just be a stretched out view with distorted edges and a wonky FOV. Buy a VR headset and you won’t have that problem.

Most “high-end” multi-monitor/multi-view setups are using XP11.

Hi, pwmacbert.
Thanks for your reply.
Do you know wich kind of graphic card works well with VR headset lik Oculos Quest?

Well, I can tell you my AMD RX590 is not the one to use unless you have nothing else.

The Q2 has its own limitations which I don’t think ANY GPU can fix. I’d say (without first-hand experience) any mid-level AMD GPU in the 6000 series or Nvidia in the 3000 series would be pretty decent.

Like our political system, both AMD and Nvidia each have their own “issues.”

I “flew” the DA62 from Portland, Oregon across the northern part of the U.S. to the east coast, down the east coast to Florida, then back across the country via the Gulf coast states to Texas, then back to Washington via New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, Idaho (I did a lot of looking around) using the Quest 2’s with an AMD RX 590 GPU and a i7 10700k CPU with 32 gig of DD4.

While it looked a bit fuzzy at a distance, it was pretty enjoyable. The panel wasn’t clear enough to read without using the “zoom” right mouse button but the important stuff (airspeed  ) was decent enough. Head tracking can be a bit “jerky” if you move your head too quickly but that might be a setting I have wrong (there are so many variables it’ll drive ya nuts).

The Q2 is a really decent “budget” VR headset. I’m pretty sure you hit the limitations of the Q2 with most any (newer) GPU.

I’m wanting a 6800XT to replace my RX590 with but if an Nvidia poped up at the right price…
