Trouble Manually Starting FlyingIron's Spitfire

May I use duplicate keybinds for the fuel systems of the various aircraft that I fly?

I have a Thrustmaster Wathog and would like to use the fuel toggle switches for the fuel valves of these various aircraft.
For FlyingIron’s Spitfire I have assigned DX56 and DX60 to one of these toggle switches and bound it to Toggle Engine 1 Fuel Valve and Set Engine 1 Fuel Valve.
For FlyingIron’s Hellcat these same DirectX buttons on the same toggle switch are assigned to Fuel Selector 1 Right Main and Fuel Selector Off.

I have tried this and the fuel valve and the manual startup for the Hellcat works as expected. The Spitfire is another matter. Despite the fuel valve and the other systems all being animated in the cockpit and apperently working, the engine does not fire up unless Autostart is used or the fuel bindings for the Hellcat are removed.

Why does the Spitfire manual start work after I delete the bindings for the fuel selector of the Hellcat in the control options of the sim?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No, You’ll have conflicting functions mapped as you can see by what is happening. It will depend on how the various system were done by the creator. Not every aircraft can use the same functions in the same way.

Make separate mappings for both of these aircraft. Use copy, then rename the mapping and change what is needed.

Are you priming and pressurising the fuel line before attempting to start?

Worked like a charm! The conflicting fuel assignments were causing the engine of the Spitfire not to fire up.

Thank you ccrbc!

Thank you HansOffHelmut,

It was the conflicting fuel assignments I made on the one profile I was using for two aircraft - The Spitfire and the Hellcat both by FlyingIron.
