Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight Throttle issue

Hello there,
i am trying everything with my Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight on MFS 24, its just crazy, never had so much issues like this time. I made a video:

I also updated it to the latest version.

I also found how to recalibrate, but this dont work, Step 2 dont work, i even hold those two buttons 2 minutes, nothing happens.
https://support.turtlebeach.com/s/article/4412202557211-VelocityOne-Flight-Re-Calibration-Process?language=en_US

When i open Control Panel in Windows 11, then it shows this: Video

I tried the calibration with Control Panel in windows 11, but it stays the same after calibration. What could be the issue? its a defect, maybe? When i open the Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight 03. TRAINING (the small display on the yoke) there it works very good…

any suggestion?

Moved to User Support Hub User Support Hub > Hardware & Peripherals that is more appropriate for community support.

I’m assuming you have the newest firmware. Do you have it set for the throttle axis, or the axis 0-100?

I tried everything, somehow its not working. Will contact Turtle Beach, if no fix…

I have this exact same issue. Have you had any luck fixing this yet?

Just wanted to add more information around this issue;
Windows Calibration works perfectly fine, RAW data shows linear progression from 0 to 255. However, once calibration applied, testing the Throttle and/or Propeller vernier levers in Game Controllers, the cross will only travel half the axis distance whilst the lever is ~<98% engaged, then engaging the last 2% skips the linear progression of the second half of the axis and instantly goes to max.
The ā€˜Testing’ mode on the yoke itself shows a perfect linear progression for both Throttle and Propeller.
This indicates there is a software/driver issue somewhere between the VelocityOne and Windows itself, this does not appear to be hardware related at all as it works perfect in Calibration and Testing.
Troubleshooting;

  • Firmware Updated
  • Calibrated using TurtleBeach instructions
  • Calibrated through Windows Game Controller many many times
  • Reinstalled driver
  • Re-inserted blue USB-C to USB-C cable for quadrant

This probably should be on a TurtleBeach support forum instead as it doesn’t relate to MSFS at all but this is the only information I can find relating to this issue so far.

Hey, i dont know if you resolved the issue, but if not, here is my fix!

After going mad, i did this: Open the Windows Control Panel and select the first one (like in my YT video), then instead of calibrating, you hit store to default (something like that), then hit OK. And this brought my device to work as it should. Sounds dumb and it is dumb but since then i dont have any issues… hope hat helps

The above fix didn’t work for me. I did find a different fix though. In your input curve settings for the axis, change the neutral. I believe I have my mixture neutral at about .5 (to the right of zero) and now my mixture axis doesn’t jump at all and is completely smooth through the full range of motion.

You can find your input curve settings either be clicking the gear icon next to the assigned input, or by clicking ā€œhardware settingsā€ in the bottom right of the controls screen.

yes i tried that with axis curve but it was not satisfying me at all it was unnatural somehow. I really dont know how i fixed my issue. I just hit the default then OK and thats is. since then no issues at all. Sometimes i dont understand this ā€œtechnologyā€ lol

I didn’t adjust the axis curves. I changed the neutral point of the axis.

Hello, Can anyone please tell me how to configure the joystick throttle axis to have the ability to increase and decrease power gradually?
As soon as I’ve done the listed configurations I can either put it 100% or 0%

If there’s a binding for throttle axis (-100% to 100%), try that.

Hi!

On the Cessna 208B, I had also an issue with the Throttle, I didn’t know why it passed on reverse suddently after the Take-Off, until I notice that the Flaps lever (I use the first quadran from the left for Flaps / Throttle 2nd / Propeller 3rd / Mixture 4th) changes the Throttle to Reverse.

In fact, when you push the Flaps lever (don’t ask me why…) full after the lock position, the Throttle turns to Reverse. When you put back the Flaps on the lock position and push it down again, the Throttle get back in the usual mode.

And you have to push it up to increase the Reverse… The minimum RPM is also include in this Reverse mode… once on Reverse, push the Throttle up a little and you reach the Iddle mode (as for Taxi Way), push it a little more and it starts to enter in Reverse.

There’s non sens to use the Flaps lever to change this mode, but… just another bug on this commercialized Alpha Stage game (before Beta, where most of the bugs are fixed, and this one before Release-Candidate, etc.). :winking_face_with_tongue:

(Most of the games are sold in a Release-Candidate stage, now, to please the shareholders at the depends of the gamers, some are sold in Beta stage, but here, it’s actually an Alpha one…
Okay, it’s a bug on an external device, but…)

Edition 1:

For the Pilatus, only the position of the Throttle changes Normal ↔ Reverse modes and it’s harder to find the point where it changes…

Edition 2: After using the Training Option, it appears that The lever 1 (on the left) has this Reverse function…

COB this piece of hardware continues to make MSFS2020 unplayable. Updated and repaired the latest firmware, all drivers up to date, FS2020 up to date.

Flight #1: Default Mode - Kodiak 100 - No problems whatsoever.
Flight #2: Default Mode again, then tried Jet Mode - Original Airbus 320 - Sliders for throttle, prop, mix and flaps all not working, randomly flicking from high to low settings but totally uncontrollable.
Reboot MSFS

Flight #3: Original Airbus 320 again - Had to reverse axis everything but once that was done, no problems whatsoever.
Flight #4: Boeing 737 - No problems until end of runway when engines cut out and the sliders no longer worked. Crashed into the sea.

Logged off, utterly frustrated that my Turkey Beach Velocityone will only work if I quit to desktop after every flight and even then the sliders may or may not be reversed. On a recent attempt, couldn’t get it to work on the first flight.

I’ve seen loads of comments online about it or MSFS being broken. Can someone from Turtle Beach please advise if this is a known issue, set-out what they are doing to rectify it and what the ETA is for a proper firmware update please?

For a product that cost me £350, there sure have been a lot of issues with this thing.

Ive had lots of trouble with my Turtlebeach yoke as well. No problems 2020 but 2024 is a nightmare. Firmware up to date, on PC. My problem is random saves disappearing. Boom, just gone so I have to go back and completely reprogram either the quadrant or yoke. I started making duplicates of my saves so I would have backups. Also throttle will stop working periodically. In that case I have to restart sim to get it back. I have no idea if the problem lies with TB or MSFS so good luck there. Ive had it a long time and I know how to work the system. My guess is the problem is with MSFS 2024.

By any chance are you using the SU1 beta? After downloading it I found it worked much better with my V1. SU1 has had several updates so it seems very stable atm.
