Turtle Beach VelocityOne rudder pedals

Have these now for a few weeks. In general I’m very satisfied. It’s a clear upgrade from the Saitek/Logitech ones I had for over a decade.

There are 2 things I don’t like about them, which are clear design flaws:

  1. The foot stop on the bottom of the airline pedals. Why!? Show me an airliner that has something like that. 99% of the time you use the pedals with the tip of your feet and rest your foot on the floor. The design makes you keep your whole foot on the pedals which is not something you would do. Because 1. you’re feet would get tired, 2. it’s much harder to do precise movements that way.
  2. The pedals could perfectly well work when put against a wall. The base is big enough to allow full movement without hitting it. But… they put the cable port at the rear and the cable has a big connector that goes past the back of the base and is very stiff so that you would break it if you pushed it against a wall. Additionally the port is very deep so most standard cables don’t even fit. Wanted to use an angled cable, but none fit in the port. Horrible design…
