I have the Turtlebeach Velocity FlightDeck, and I am trying to make it work good with MSFS2024.
The game recognized the Hotas, but I’m still not sure that it works like it should.
For starters, during the first career steps, even simple things like turning off the parking brake don’t work even though I have mapped two different buttons for that on the controller.
I also couldn’t find a function to calibrate the joystick. The result is that during flight, the plane dives heavily when the stick is in neutral position.
(not to mention the annoying thing that the game doesn’t show joystick buttons during gameplay)
Are there some options I’m not seeing?
Is there some kind of guide or something like that to setup my Hotas and it’s bindings to work good?
I don’t need an expensive control device with dozens of buttons when I have to switch back to keyboard for half of the functions.
Make sure you have the right input selected on the screen (input select on the left). I suspect you have a different input selected like keyboard or mouse.
No issues here with functionality but I will have to wipe out a lot of preset bindings and remap, not sure if due to conflicts with the mouse for example free look, or if the sim is buggy
I have been having the exact same issues as you, and my plane also dives when my joystick is in the neutral position…I’m not able to find a a way to calibrate it either…I believe it’s due to us not having a pre-configured profile yet provided by Turtlebeach…I emailed Turtle beach support about this but they said its a MSFS2024 problem due to bugs that exist…I think they gave a very vague response just because I mentioned this game…I hope something comes soon…let me know if you find a fix
calibration is in the manual. You pressed two buttons and hold for 5 seconds and it goes into calibration.
It should not need calibration. Are you new to FS? planes have a TRIM wheel for this reason. You trim the nose up or down in the cockpit. You can do it with kb or mouse in the cockpit or you can try the trim wheel on the stick just below the FIRE button
